2022-23 playoffs

Postby Pullo Vision » Thu Jan 12, 2023 2:29 am

Primetime games can lead to big value changes, and all the playoff games are nationally televised. Gabriel Davis is an easy recent example.

What players could see changes up or down in the dynasty value during the playoffs? Jameson Williams and Christian Watson might've seen a jump if they'd made the playoffs. Etienne against that Chargers run "defense" will be fun. Purdy could position himself well for the offseason if he keeps on keeping on.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K

I think Purdy will take the biggest jump. SF are currently ~ +450 to make the Super Bowl, actually better odds than the first seed Eagles (+550) in the NFC. No rookie QB has ever started a SB, let alone won it. I think it happens this year. With what he's shown so far, and with Shanahan and that offense, with the stacked defense, the addition of CMC that expanded an already extensive playbook.... I would be supremely shocked if they don't make the SB. And I think they are more than capable of beating any of the AFC teams, and will likely be favorites against any of them but the Chiefs simply because of how magical Mahomes can be. Purdy will be getting that spotlight, and all the excuses and rationalizations about a friendly offense and Shanahan's coaching ability can't wash out a SB win. It will also be very difficult to supplant a SB winning QB from his starting job, especially with someone who hasn't shown much like Lance.

Saw in another thread someone paid 2.10 (I think) for Purdy recently in a SF. I currently think that was a deal. In another month I think it will look like highway robbery. He's already putting up low end QB1 numbers as a starter. With an entire off-season/training camp/pre-season under his belt and with him as the focus, I don't see how he wouldn't at the very least be maintaining that kind of fantasy production.

I’m a Vikings fan through and through but it’s hard not to root for Purdy.

If Skyy Moore can have a game, maybe get a TD or two, he'd see his value climb back a bit from where it is right now. Maybe not back to where it was when he was a mid first, but if he contributes in the playoffs, it would definitely help his value.

Khalil Shakir is another. I think he's the Bills starting slot receiver next year, but if he flashes in the playoffs, people might pay more attention to him.

Same. Vikings fan but I like the 49ers quite a bit. I love a good defense.

Would that increase the chance he retires?

That would explain why he was never home, out hunting runaway synths instead.

Absolute burner of a game getting us started this weekend!

My goodness... if the Seahawks pull this off, a LOT of multis and survivors are going up in smoke...

They hung around for two and a half quarters anyway.
