2TE and SuperFlex Trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

watson and a first pretty easily but if you are in the final 4 im not moving kelce right now just to plan for future. you have herbert and dak, you are not in dire need of upgrading geno. long term yes this is a smart move but why move a crucial piece with 2 wins left to get?

This may sound weird, but it's honest:

I have won 3 years in a row by focusing on 'win this year and suffer the consequences later' - and while yes, we play this game to win and i have a very good shot at winning again this year - i know that this might be my last chance to get top value for Kelce since he's 33. Other teams desperately need TE that are going to be in playoffs, so i feel like now is the time and i wouldn't be heartbroken if i didn't win the championship since i am coming off a three-peat.

A 1st and a potential top 5 QB when he's back to form moving forward seems really alluring to me.

As a contening team, I would not move Kelce in a 2 TE format. I would rather try to get another title and worry about a deal in the offseason. Even if that costs you the pick and Watson. Go for another title.

Yup.

It's hard to see Kelce losing value over the next two weeks. I'd rather keep him for the title run -- a four-peat? HELL yeah! -- and then approach the same owner in January. Even if you have to add something -- another player, a 2nd, etc. -- I think holding onto Kelce is worth it.

Totally understood, i appreciate your feedback. The part in bold i just bring up because i genuinely do see a big drop off, maybe its just me knowing my leaguemates. Teams havent wanted to trade for Kelce all year, but right now there is a bit of interest from the other playoff teams because he could be that game changer. As soon as the playoffs are over, they won't have the same level of motivation to trade for him because who knows what happens over the next offseason/year. I feel like the dropoff of veterans is common each year, and older veterans is even more steep - while draft picks skyrocket as soon as offseason starts.

Gotcha. In that case, I'd happily ride Kelce until he's done. Keep the game-changer.
