What is this "home field advantage"? The higher seed starts with x points for free?
Indeed "free points". The formula is something like:

(10 points for higher seed + 5 points per additional wins comparative to opponent) x 2/3...all rounded to the nearest 10th I believe.

So if things stand as they are and I'm the 4th seed, I'll face a deficit of 20 points. But, our scoring system is wonky and generous...it's really about 10 points of standard PPR Scoring.
wow that is really onerous to lower seeds, and I assume this is the way through the entire playoffs? Ever had a lower seed team make it deep?
The first 2 rounds have this concept, the Super Bowl does not and both teams start even.

Oh yes, #4 seeds have definitely won it all! Anything can happen in the playoffs, no lead is safe!

Impressive start from Baker. The Rams look better than they have in weeks. Amazing to be able to jump in like this.

From a dynasty perspective, I assume Matt Stafford will retire. Since the Rams are light on picks, is Baker Mayfield a legit option to become a fixture in LA for a season or so? I know I'm overreacting but it's also not totally unfathomable.

This is crazy, all night I've been thinking that if Baker won it would be another "triumph of the uncluttered mind"

Stafford's ext doesn't matter other than they may have to do some Brees like salary cap shuffling to accommodate a Baker signing should Stafford retire.

Rather boring week 14 for me, as I have already clinched playoff spots in 7 of my 8 dynasty leagues.
8th team is a dumpster fire, 0-26 on the way to 0-28. Just a VERY young roster with lots of future picks.

Most years I have something to play for in week 14 though.
Only thing to play for this year is seeding, and/or a bye in week 15 in 2 of my leagues.
But locked into a playoff slot in 7 of my 8 leagues right now.

Going from 2021 Stafford to any future Baker certainly does matter.

Rams are done for the foreseeable future, and I would not be shocked if McVay looks for a way out, like Sean Payton did.

Players like Tillery shouldn't be in the NFL. He shut be cut, right now. Nobody should sign him. He didn't even do anything on the play where he takes a personal foul for slapping the ball out of Mayfield's hand, after a sack on that last drive. My Raiders aren't going anywhere, this year, anyways, but that type of move, is all too common in today's NFL. Idiotic players, making dumb plays outside the actual play.

Raiders need to move Carr. It's time. Some teams will definitely be interested, and after that performance, I'm fine with a reset at the position, as a fan. He's just not going to get it done. He's a good QB, but not good enough. He should definitely be a starter for a few more years, but I'd prefer it to be on a different team at this point.

Nobody said moving from Stafford doesn’t make a difference. I said his “EXTENSION” won’t preclude them from trying to sign Baker as they are already committed to the money. Just a matter of how it gets paid out.

Now go ahead with your argument about what you want to make it about … :wall:

How crazy is this year?

1) In one of my 12 leagues, because of a tremendous disparity in good teams vs. bad I have a 4-9 team that is “win and in” for the playoffs …

and 2) Baker Mayfield.
12 team, dynasty, ppr, 1RB, 3WR, 1TE, 3RB/WR/TEFlex
QB P.Mahomes, J.Goff
RB J.Taylor, A.Kamara, E.Elliott, T.Pollard
WR D.Chark, B.Cooks, A.Cooper, A.St.Brown, J.Tolbert, T.Marshall, D.Slayton
TE T.Kelce, H.Henry

(League champ somehow)
QB J.Burrow
RB T.Etienne, I,Pacheco, J.Cook, T.Algeier, J.Wilson
WR C.Lamb, M.Evans, M.Pittman, D.Chark, R.Moore, D.Peoples-Jones
TE T.Hockenson

12 Team Dynasty ppr, 2QB,2RB,3WR,1TE,3Flex,TE Premium

QB J.Burrow, G.Smith
RB D.Cook, J.Mixon, A.Mattison, R.Mostert, S.Perine
WR M.Evans, A.Cooper, C.Kirk, N.Collins
TE E.Engram, G.Everett, C.Okonkwo, C.Otton

QB K.Murray, J.Burrow
