as long he doesn't get a butt fumble he's fine.

z.wilson bounced back really well, they are still a young team. It will be interesting to see how they improve

The Milf Hunter better start showing some consistent play quick. Looking like a monumental bust.

And it’s not like he doesn’t have pieces around him. If he were on the Bears and struggling like this maybe he’d get a little more of a pass.

bleep play aside, saying the offense (the question wasn’t about him specifically) didn’t let down the D when they only allowed 3 points, is exactly how a locker room turns on someone. Garrett’s comments after the game show it’s happening. He’s too professional to just go after him in the media, but you can read between the lines on his answers and see what he was saying.

As always, QBs get the blame and the glory. And it’s easy and deserved to go after Zach. But….They had 59 yards rushing - of which Zach had 26 on 3 scrambles…leading the team.

This was a complete offensive failure. Is Zach a big problem? Yes. But is Lafleur ALSO a problem…I tend to think yes. An issue moving forward is you can assume it’s just Zach, they replace him, and things are still bleep. Saleh being Lafleur’s best man at his wedding is going to make this awkward if it’s also him.

Fields didn't get a pass on it, and he's significantly better than Wilson.

when your QB wouldn't score in a brothel, it's hard to get the running game going tho. but yeah, i don't think it's 100% down to him. just very close.

Never mind. I guess NE was run blitzing on 1st and 2nd because they knew Zach plus the wind wouldn’t allow them to move the ball passing.

I think it’s over for him after this one, unless he gets benched and has time to figure things out with no pressure. The problem is this team is ready to go now and they can’t waste the opportunity.

I don't think there's any more excuses for him. There are 35 NFL quarterbacks better than him at this point. Almost any backup is an upgrade. The Jets moved on from Darnold to get a worse Darnold.

Not only does he suck, but he doesn't think he's the problem at all and he's apparently rubbed a lot of people on his team the wrong way. The Jets are wasting their nice defense with his play; do they start White or Flacco at all this week?

For the sake of playing devil’s advocate, he’s not the first rookie to be embarrassed by Belichick and he’ll look better against a bottom five defense next week against Chicago.

A part of this could be a coaching staff which prioritizes not turning the ball over above all else. If he’s fighting his instincts not to press things, it could explain his slow progressions and mental mistakes. I’m not sure how long you give a guy to figure that out, but his progression is looking a lot like Blaine Gabbert at this point.
