Acquire henry?

Start: Q1 R2 W3 T1 F2 SF1

The Henry owner is currently 1-3, is at the bottom for points scored on the season, and is finally ready to move him (I tried all offseason).

I have three 2023 1sts and three 2023 2nds. Two of the 1sts are top 5 and the third first should be 1.08 or 1.09. The three 2nds I have will very likely be pick 11, pick 12, and pick 14 or 15. One of the 2nds I have belongs to the Henry owner (it should be 11 or 12 overall).

I am going to try to send his 2nd back plus the 2nd that'll be 14 or 15, but I'm guessing he will want a first. Knowing Henry's wheels will eventually fall off, would you all here give a late first for him to get production for this year (and unlikely, but maybe) next year? Would you add one of the 2nds if needed? Or draw the line at the single 2023 first and move on if not?

one of the late first and one of the early 2nds would be a steal IMO, but I may be in the minority. We finally saw a glimpse of old school Henry last week AND hes been more involved in the passing game.

If you can land him for a late 1st or a 2nd + E Moore or a different young asset for the other managers rebuild I think it helps you now but I would not overpay at all. Henry could slow down this year even. I would not want to give a 1st to be honest and I would add nothing to it at all.

I'd invest in someone younger or cheaper at least. Probably even kelce or a qb if the prices were equal. You seem to have the rb depth and don't need to invest a solid price in Henry..father time is undefeated.

Late 1st and late 2nd sounds about right value wise for me.

I'd invest in someone younger or cheaper at least. Probably even kelce or a qb if the prices were equal. You seem to have the rb depth and don't need to invest a solid price in Henry..father time is undefeated.

Yea I've been looking around for an upgrade at TE and another QB but no luck so far. There are teams at the bottom with no assets, middling teams that won't sell as they want to try to compete, then this team with Henry that's been slowly aging out and finally realizing he's gotta make some moves. I actually got CMC from this same owner before week 1.

Would that later 2023 first be too much in your opinion? I'm going to try for two 2's or a 2 and a WR but I think it'll take the first.

I don't mind giving the late 1 in terms of value, just not sure that it gets you any closer to a championship. I guess I don't see acquiring Henry as a move that you need to make now. When that pick is on the clock next year...I think there will be a guy who's whole career you'll have. Maybe later on this year you'll need to make a move and could have used these assets.
In general, I'm not a big fan of giving 1sts for aging players that have a yr or 2 left. We almost have to win it all to reap the rewards because it isn't likely we'll get the capital spent back.

Totally fair. I agree. I'm going to try to keep the first so I can move it in another deal later on if needed. I'll try for one or two of the 2nd's and a WR to start. He kinda needs everything so more depth and draft picks might be preferable on his end.

If I had Henry, even on a rebuild, I wouldn’t want 2 2nds. I’d be shocked if no one is willing to a 1st for him if he put him on the block, but I guess some leagues don’t trade much. Starting with two 2nds doesn’t hurt as long as you don’t think they’ll shut down the trade convo with the low offer.

I don't see any scenario where a knowledgeable owner would sell Henry without getting a first in return. If you're a true contender and going for it this year then a late first and a 2nd is an easy deal to make.
