Lamar's agent is brilliant. He will get the biggest contract in history for a QB sooner or later.

I thought his agent was his mother.

I think that's who they said it was at first, but it's always been Lamar

How about now, after 3 sub par performance in a row?

Far be it from me to act crazy, but:

He could really use some help from anyone else not named Mark Andrews.

Cool, so save some of that money you don't pay Lamar for a WR. Everybody was so sure of things 3 weeks ago, just pointing out that I doubt Ravens ownership is so sure about that guaranteed contract. Been awfully quiet here the last 3 weeks, people were pretty certain of things not too long ago. The performances recently haven't been good, to say the least, and if that's all because he lost Bateman, it's just further evidence that maybe he shouldn't have a record setting contract, I am pretty sure that's how ownership is probably seeing it.

Oh wait
Tell me about it, he's helping Kyler dominate the Seahawks as we speak.

At least we know that Freak would be consistent and trash Derek Carr the same way if he was missing Davante Adams.

Trashing? Nope. Just saying logical things like Lamar's value hasn't been helped the last 3 weeks. It was a prime opportunity to show ownership he deserved this totally guaranteed contact you all thought he was a shoe in to get. Carr is OK, but I'm not deluded into thinking he's elite, nor is he worth elite money.

Bottom line is, Lamar hasn't been good for 3 straight weeks, and it's hurt his cause for the contract he wants happening from the Ravens next off season. Still lots of time to go, but he's been hot and cold this year, and right now, he's cold.

Personally, I welcome the forthcoming Geno Smith era in Baltimore. Should be awesome, and will definitely give them a better chance to compete for Superbowls against the other juggernauts of the AFC.

I just don't know what you think the better option is that is magically out there for the Ravens. Franchise Tag Lamar, draft another project, and pray? Sign Jimmy G...? Draft Anthony Richardson...?

I'm not sure anything has changed.

If Lamar is a free agent or available in a trade, there will be a handful of teams ready to pay him whatever he wants. The Panthers, Commanders and Falcons are 3 of them. Hell, the Jets might be another.

Advantage is still very easily Lamar Jackson right now. He is going to get the contract he wants one way or another.
