Trade away Mike Evans?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Do a trade?

Keep Evans, he's worth more

Trade away Mike Evans?

Postby hockeyBjj » Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:16 am

An owner approached me for team 1 in sig about Mike Evans. I'm off to an 0-2 start this year and looking at a rebuild but keeping some of my younger pieces, so I do think moving Mike Evans makes sense.

Looking at his team a couple of pieces stick out. Rashod Bateman, Jahan Doctson, or mid 1st next year

Which of those pieces would you prefer to have for Evans? Am I valuing 29 year old Evans about right vs the youth/pick? Should either of us be adding something?

I would be pleased with Bateman or the mid 1st over Evans in a rebuild. Evans is great but his value is always low on the market and if you can get either piece, the value and long term hope is better for your rebuild.

If you can get either Bateman or Dotson AND the first on top then that’s a homerun. I would likely take Bateman or Dotson and a smaller piece for him as well.

I don't think anyone is paying Bateman + 1st for Evans, or even Dotson, for that matter.

I assume as a contender he is keeping Bateman too. Might not be an option there. Dotson has shown out so if you can get him and something or the 1st and something I'd roll with those. Evans is solid but Brady has to hang it up and who knows what happens there next.
