I have my draft tonight and was ready to draft Hall, but now second guessing myself. Pierce looks 100x better.
The way he looked on 11 preseason carries… half of which were against scrubs?

Was expecting to see a sarcastic post, was very concerned when I discovered a serious post.

No... Pierce has climbed up but is still a late 1st early 2nd for me in 12 team leagues. He's a good pick for a contender who still has their pick at the end of the first.

This is exactly the truth for Pierce. He is about best case scenario for a lot of good teams with smart owners that can draft him at the end of the 1st, use him for a year, and then probably flip him to a bad team before next years nfl draft getting a 1st back.

It's more interesting to compare Pierce to the Cook/Rachaad/BRob/Zamir/Spiiller group.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex

League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def

League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def

agreed. He has been my RB5 and thats with anticipation of him being a starter. I thought the path for opportunity was very clear here but apparently wasn't baked into his price enough

I'd sell Pierce for any 23 1st right now. Getting something extra would just be golden. He was the 7th RB taken in a mediocre RB class and didn't produce as a four-year player in the SEC.

Odds are pretty high that next year's 1st will either be a good WR prospect from a good WR class or a good RB prospect from a good RB class.

Might even be an RB prospect replacing Pierce

Yeah you're probably right. I guess it's partially depend on roster construction, but selling for a first is probably the right move.

I tried to tell people he was really good and played really hard. I had him #4 RB in this class.

I took Cook in a league full of highly experienced players at 1.10 well before preseason even started and Pierce went 2.1. That owner actually thanked me for not taking him at 1.10. I don't regret the decision but Pierce looks way better than many realize IMO.

I mentioned in some thread a week or so ago he reminded me of E. Smith of yesteryear. The Texans seem to love this guy.

Time will tell but I will take him in a few redrafts prior to round 8 if available. He looks like a lock starter with Mack waived today.

Time will tell but he really looks like a solid all around RB.

No one will take the Burks news seriously but will move Pierce into the top 5 conversation? Lolololol

He should be in rookie top 5 RB conversation. At least, he was for me months ago

In order to flip him, he has to produce well this year. What are his prospects of that? The situation looks decent enough, but what about the talent? Given his college history, can he hold up to heavy 2 down work?

Yeah, that’s fine. But this rb class is weak. And I sure wouldn’t pass on a bunch of first round wrs over him
