Maybe that Achilles injury comeback wasn't going as well as we'd hoped? Mack was a guy we were watching as somewhat of a gauge, but things aren't looking good at this point.BabyChark23 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 11:37 am Marlon Mack cut! Roster manipulation. They know they can get one of or both QBs back on the roster soon. It buys them time to make other moves with injured players, vested veterans, etc.Bronco Billy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 11:01 am DAL cut Grier & Rush? They have Dak as the only QB on the roster right now? WTH?

Re: 2022 Preseason Cuts
Raiders cut Leatherwood, and Trayyvon Mullen traded. Getting rid of most of Mayock's mistakes now. Leatherwood didn't seem to be putting much effort in, and looked out of shape this off season. I had hopes he'd be OK, but if you aren't going to put effort in, it won't happen for you. Thought he might still be a solid guard, but I guess they'd seen enough.

Re: 2022 Preseason Cuts
Mack had his surgery what, 2 years ago? What MAJOR break through was there? As far as I know, the recovery time can be better, but not the end results, for RB's and LB's, for the most part, from what I heard from Dr. Morse (FF Doctors), if I recall correctly.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 12:59 pmRinse and repeatJTLoh wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 12:21 pmMack shouldn't be a gage. Yep. They didn’t carry a Kicker either, which was Brett Maher…they also know there’s a 99% chance that another team won’t claim him…especially since he’s only average, sadly.YouMightDieTryin wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 2:03 pmLike dropping or not drafting a kicker. Re: 2022 Preseason Cuts
after the Drake signing, not surprised. Might be better for him, if he can latch on somewhere else, he's a pass catcher, and that would be his FF relevance. That wouldn't happen in Baltimore.

Yeah I thought they would cut Davis, but he probably gets cut once Gus is back anyways. Hill plays ST so he makes sense to keepFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 2:17 pmafter the Drake signing, not surprised. I'm (not at all) shocked you haven't grasped this.
Excerpt from the latest Ravens/Zreibiec Athletic article on the cuts required for their roster:
How many handshake agreements will DeCosta need to make?
For players to be eligible to return from injured reserve and play for the Ravens in 2022, they’ll at least have to start the season on the initial 53-man roster. That applies to tight end Charlie Kolar and outside linebacker David Ojabo and perhaps a few other players currently dealing with injuries that could extend a few weeks into the regular season. If the Ravens place Kolar and Ojabo on IR as part of their cut down to 53, their rookie seasons will be over. That’s not what the Ravens want, which is why there’s an expectation that Kolar and Ojabo will be on the roster at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Having to put them there robs the Ravens of two spots that could be used for players that the team would prefer keeping in the organization. However, there is a way to work around the situation and the Ravens have utilized it in the past. They’ve cut vested veterans who aren’t subject to waivers and then re-signed them a day or two later once players shift to IR. The vested veterans have been guys on cheap one-year deals who want to remain in Baltimore and are willing to go along with the plan. There are quite a few candidates on this year’s roster...
