Moore/Dotson/Cook/Pierce

Postby BWhaley22 » Fri Aug 26, 2022 10:01 am

Hey all,

I have my dynasty rookie draft tomorrow (.5 ppr, 1QB,2RB,3,WR,3FLX) and the way it looks to be playing out -- top 8 is pretty much set .
Hall,Walker,London,Wilson,Burks,Jamo,Olave,Pickens (no order).

So I'll probably have to decide between Moore Dotson (WR) and Cook Pierce (RB)

My team is pretty balance and in a win now window for the next few years so really just looking for BPA.

Let me know if you think one of these guys stands out from the rest!

It's a nice top 8. If anyone does slide, feel free to take them. But next up for me is Skyy with Dotson a close 2nd. If you NEED RB, Pierce looks primed for RB1 in HOU so could be the best time to buy in.

Nope, as someone who does not like the Chiefs, I'll confirm Moore.

Haven't heard much about him through camp. Anything of note? I was planning on taking him at 9 throughout all my research but feel like he hasn't gotten much hype

Moore or Dotson. I like both players. I'd lean Moore.

That's what my research has shown too. He checks a ton of boxes analytically and physically.

Tape checks out, even if it was Western Mich. I see good hands, decent routes, YAC ability and think he just has "it", that football drive.

I think he's in the right offense to flourish and plenty of opportunities with Tyreek gone. Of course, same could be said about Mecole Hardman, but the 2 aren't comparable.

Speaking of comp, I really like the one from Playerprofiler, Golden Tate. Skyy will be even better at the start though (Tate was in SEA which was putting up 3000 pass yards per season), but would be thrilled if Skyy became a target monster like in Tate's DET days. I feel safe saying KC won't be a 3000 yard passing team lol

I am biased but Moore is the best profile by a lot with the best landing spot

Only argument against is draft capital and even that is round 2

I like Chiefs players but I'm also really harsh on Chiefs players when I think we picked a bad (Hardman) or mediocre (CEH) player. I don't think Moore is that at all

Pierce for me, especially for instant production. Moore is supposedly still developing and is currently slated as the WR4 on the team behind Juju, MVS, and Hardman. He will likely beat out MVS and Hardman at some point (maybe the back half of the season we’ll see some flashes), but I’d be very surprised if he turns into a “take the league by storm” kind of guy this year.

I’m a KC fan too and excited for him, but I don’t think he’ll realistically be impactful this year for fantasy. More of a long term play.

Absolutely no way I pass on Pierce here. Follow the smoke. Believe it or not Skyy Moore has a much steeper hill to climb. Not only did they already have Hardman, but they went out and got Juju and MVS not to even mention Kelce. Skyy Moore is likely my 3rd of these 4.

Moore, Dotson, or Watson for me. Pickens lumps in with them, too, for me.

I have Skyy in my top 6 and easily have him over Pierce, Cook, and Dotson. This is dynasty and as soon as next year it’s possible that Skyy is Mahomes #1 or 2 target. Besides that, MVS isn’t a target threat, Kelce is 33, and juju isn’t a #1 guy.

I have major doubts with Burks. Pierce could just as easy be a flash or at best an easily replaceable piece on a rebuilding Houston team with plenty of picks to use. Good luck.

A senior declare RB 4th round pick who never had more than 28% of Florida's rush attempts is a workhorse worth a 1st round pick?

It’s like you guys never learn smh

How many terrible RB prospects are gonna get hyped for having “RB” on their profile before the market corrects?
