Re-tooling Davante Adams

For a contender what WR do you think is a suitable player to trade Adams for to get younger or attain future picks whilst still competing ?

Deebo is a possibility

Is Brandin Cooks and a 24 1st enough?

I would be looking for D. Smith + a 1st or that range of WR. Possibly Aiyuk + a 1st? Young WR's that you could get a 1st on top of will be very team build and manger dependent. Adams should still have big appeal to a contender.

The only team interested has Bateman as a suitable target. Might have to throw something back though to get Bateman and a 1st.

The reason I was thinking Cooks and a 1st is because in this league you can trade for a win now RB for a single 1st and win now WR for a 2nd. So in 2 years I could buy that years Mike Evans or similar to replace Cooks along with a RB and still compete with future picks in tact.

Bateman + a 1st seems better value wise but Cooks + the 1st likely has safer production behind but the value seems lower.

I have been trying to do the same with Team 1 and its tough to give up those points if your competing...

Yeah tough to give up the points. That's why I was thinking either trade for Deebo or another older vet who could produce hopefully 90% of Adams production and get a 1st or 2nd on top to keep rolling as a contender in future years.

K.Allen, M.Evans, M.Williams, Cooks, Deebo, A.Robinson, T.Mclaurin, D.Johnson...

Those are all alternative guys that could get ya 80% of what Adams will get ya and then toss in 23 1st... Now where that 23 1st is would depend on what guy out of that list...and where the team sits with who your trading with..

Out of those players. Keenan, Evans, ARob and McLaurin are on the same team but the most I would get on top is a 2nd.

They are a middle of the road team but the draft is a lottery for pick order with the top 4 split from the bottom 4 teams.

I could get Deebo straight up.

Brandin Cooks is on a rebuild team but I think they are looking to flip into a contender as they offered me a 24 1st and CEH for Adams so I'm thinking Cooks and a 24 1st for Adams instead.
