What do your leagues do about defensive position changes?

Long been a topic of contention within our league. We’ve been reluctant to make changes as we feel our leagues run parallel to nfl and not how we think our players should be listed when their actual nfl team has them in possibly a less desirable position. Just interested to get options and what your leagues are doing regarding those

We use CBS to host our league and whatever the players are listed at on that site are what they are. Sometimes it really sucks, but it is what it is.

Same as above. The hosting site decides the designation. I did have one league make the change to true position option a year or two ago, which really minimizes the year-to-year disruption.

Read the tea leaves in advance and for see what is coming. Tell owners to get engaged and follow the NFL. They will know before the MFL changes happen. Those that don’t, they deal with the host site designation.

DEs moved to LB are probably the harshest move for fantasy purposes, as players who were studs are suddenly not getting enough tackles or stats to be even startable.

One thing you can do is give more points for sacks to level out those edge players wherever their designation falls.
Also, IDP flex positions are a place to start those extra displaced dlinemen you suddenly have until you get a chance to fix your roster again.

Khalil Mack been wasting away for years. TJ Watt is really the only edge guy that pops in that 3-4 LB designation.

Mack obviously has struggled with injuries but I have loved starting him when healthy, even at OLB. Proper scoring fixes things…
