Startup IDP draft valuation

We’re doing a new start up, with 8 offensive starters, and 4 defensive starters. We have a separate offensive and defensive draft. I currently have pick 1.03 in a vet only/IDP only draft.

Someone wants to trade me their 2023 1st for it, is this a fair deal? Should I be able to get more for 1.03 or less?

I’m new to IDP and have no idea on valuation. Thank you in advance

with only 4 starters, IDP won't be worth much, so i'd pass on an IDP stud for a 1st no problem. BUT,, you should be able to squeeze a bit more. even a 3rd IDP startup on top would be good.

If 2023 draft is a rookie draft, I would do this. I'm assuming you won't have separate drafts in year 2.
As long as you do a decent job in the later rounds, and especially in waivers during the season, you should be fine on defense.
