Conner for Wagner?

Postby mzkp54 » Sun May 29, 2022 5:32 am

Team 1 in sig. contract league. Would you trade James Conner (1 year) for Bobby Wagner (2 years)?

Balanced scoring. Conner scored 257 last year and Wagner scored 299.

Thanks!

In a straight up dynasty league, no. In a contract league though, it could situationally be a yes if you are competing and the LB spot will help you more short term than the rb spot. Also depends if you are before or after free agency and what options are available there

We had free agency and the draft already, so I’m just trying to shape out the roster. At this point I think I could probably use another LB1 with my RB depth but trading for old guys is always tricky.

If I am in position to compete in a salary league I have no problem giving up value to strengthen my lineup

Conner is coming off a career year and Wagner had to wait months to get a deal. On top of that, IDP structure in general has this trade even more lopsided.
