Am I crazy for making this offer....

Made an offer of Kamara, Akers, DJ Moore and Kittle for Ja'Marr Chase.

KTC says this is a pretty big overpay. I also realize that this is a lot but I really think Kamara might have 1 more RB1 year left in him and Moore and Kittle have been pretty big disappointments for me.

I'd have DK, Chase and AJB.

So, how crazy am I?

I am in the camp that Kamara is a sell and Akers is not good and very overvalued. That being said, I think this is an overpay. Kittle is an elite TE which brings with it big value and Moore is valued around two 1sts or a 1st +. Kamara and Akers are both hit or miss manager to manager, so some of the value depends on that factor. I really like the idea of getting Chase but this still seems a bit pricey even with being down on Kamara and Akers but that comes down to Moore for me over the two RBs. He seems to be what is really throwing off the value to me.

It’s a lot to pay and value is on the side of what you’re giving up but I wouldn’t sell Chase for that. Especially with the big play TD bonus.

I wouldn't say this trade is ridiculously crazy but it feels like a very risky play given the receivers you already have and the RBS you'd be left with. With this trade, you'd be left with 2 very good backs but both are coming off serious injuries into backfields with James Robinson and Gus Edwards. I agree Kamara and Kittle are on their last legs, but I would still try to get at least a comparable RB2-RB3 for with Chase for all that value. I also would feel more than confident going into my season with DK, Moore and AJB each week with a deep and solid backfield.

This makes complete sense and I completely agree. I'm not even sure it gets accepted but for some reason I just felt like shaking things up a bit. I've had Kamara since his rookie year and something is just telling me now is the time to hop off ship.

There is a difference between hoping off a ship and giving him away for free. This is not a good trade for you and I love Chase

If you want Chase, I think this is a sneaky good and value-appropriate price that might benefit both teams. Assuming the other guy is in win-now mode, he gets at least three useful pieces (I don't count Akers as a useful piece) that can help this season. Meanwhile, you get a long-term WR1 and that's that.

Where the possible overpay comes in for me is that DJM might one day have a good QB and turn into a yearly WR1. If that happens and he's not far behind Chase in ppg, then this turns into an overpay. But as things stand today, I'd be okay with paying that price to get Chase.

I think we can all agree this is A LOT to give up for Chase, but I also think many of us can agree we would not move Chase for that.

Only way to acquire Chase right now is to overpay.

I may be in the minority, but I don't think Chase's rookie year was sustainable. A LOT of long TD's, and even if you are generally good at making big plays, they aren't sticky. Chase needs to be a 100 plus catch guy to really be worth where people are valuing him, and I am not sure he is. I love the player, and he deserves his rank, my issue is his price in trades. I think he's more of an OBJ early years type stat lines, but will never push those AB type seasons with 120-130 catches, plus the yards and TD's, to be a true difference making advantage every week in the WR spot.

Not sure that’s the necessarily the view here. I said I wouldn’t move Chase for that but am no way down on Kamara. Drafted him as a rookie and have never considered selling short of a very good offer.
