This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Dak+ For Lamar in SF?

Postby colt77 » Sun May 29, 2022 2:35 pm

Hey guys, so i have a ton of picks in 2023 including 5 first rounders and 6 2nds next year. I want to trade Dak for Lamar, but the guy wants Dak, Kadarius Toney, and any 2023 2nd for Lamar. The 2nd i'd pick would be like mid-late. I'm just unsure about it. Is the gap really that big between Lamar and Dak? It's also a 6pt passing TD league with -3 for interceptions, so it helps Dak a bit. Let me know what you guys think. My team is the SF one in the footer.

It seems a bit pricey for some reason but I prefer Jackson. I don't think Toney is a good or safe asset though. Slight overpay either way.

Yeah, i'm not sure if I want to overpay or not though. Lamar did look really good before injury. I'm a fan of Toney though and even a late 2nd in 2023 in SF is going to be good. Although, I love Lamar and own Bateman. Super tough for me to decide on.

I'd prefer the Dak side. I think Lamar is very overrated, though.

I dont think you're necessarily giving too much up, but im not sure how much of an upgrade lamar is either. especially given the 6pt passing tds

Depends on your rankings of Dak and Lamar. Toney and a 2nd are relatively minor if you have a bigger spread between the 2, and with your 23 draft capital, I don't see Toney helping your roster beyond helping upgrade another position. I have Lamar in a 14 team SF league and I wouldn't be moving him for that return, so if that's what the guy wants, I'd jump at that deal for you.

Previous post is right. With your draft capital as is, you have to decide whether Jackson gives you the bump over Dak. The pieces you’re sending aren’t inconsequential, but shouldn’t hold you back if you think it’s a good bump. To use that later ‘23 2nd, you’d have to drop someone else most likely.
