Consensus 1.01?
Re: Consensus 1.01?
Adding to FantasyFreak's point... what landing spot did you want that would have been so much better? I'd say maybe ATL and maaaybe HOU but that's about it. I only saw 6 possible destinations...
Good landing spots:
ATL, HOU, NYJ, MIA, SEA, BUF (decent but Allen steals so many TDs and BUF throws every play)
Teams with vets in place that would be RBBC at best:
ARI, BAL, DEN, GB, JAX, KC, LV, LAR, NE(gross), PHI, SF, TB, WAS
Stud in place:
CAR, CHI, CIN, CLE, DAL, DET, IND, LAC, MIN, NO, NYG, PIT, TEN

Re: Consensus 1.01?
Hall usurped Carter the moment he was drafted. Carter will still be involved, but this was one of the better spots for Hall. The Jets just grabbed the two best playmakers in this draft in Wilson and Hall. I almost find myself excited about the Jets offense.
Re: Consensus 1.01?
There's plenty of reasons for that. I don't agree that HOU and ATL were better landing spots... the Jets arguably have the best OL of the three, and a QB with upside with playmakers outside.
There's reasons for optimism here. You've gotta love the wholesale youth movement... it's what you've gotta do to change a culture like the Jets.

Re: Consensus 1.01?
ATL has running/scrambling QB's. Jets are better for Breece's pass catching. It's an ideal situation for him, it really is. He's going to be getting a heavy work load day 1, and has a QB that will check down over running compared to a situation like ATL with Mariota/Ridder.Needalife wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:25 pm Adding to FantasyFreak's point... what landing spot did you want that would have been so much better? Let’s talk about Hall for a second outside of landing spot. How much talent does this kid have? Let’s look at JT from the last two seasons. The team really wasn’t that great and he put up some nice numbers. What is Hall’s comp?

Re: Consensus 1.01?
Closest Comp I have seen that I like is Le'Veon Bell. He also reminds me of Forte if you want to go back a few years. My BallZach Ertz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:31 am Let’s talk about Hall for a second outside of landing spot. He has loads of talent. He is very patient to let the hole develop and has the decision ability to anticipate and explode through the hole.
His talent is comparable to Taylor and could be a top 3 RB overall relativity soon.

Re: Consensus 1.01?
I honestly see Joe Mixon as a comp. Solid in all areas. To me the film doesn't quite match the "athletic profile" with Hall as much as it did with Mixon. Not going to get it done on his own, but if in a good system will produce. I could easily see him having a similar career arc as well. Not producing as expected early on but improving production as the team gets better. My BallZach Ertz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:31 am Let’s talk about Hall for a second outside of landing spot. On college tape I think Mixon looked to have quicker feet and better receiving ability, but overall similar to Hall.

Re: Consensus 1.01?
Forte was my immediate comp too when watching Breece. Maybe not as good catching the ball, but Fortes production was due to a really good situation too. I'd also say JT lite is a fine comp and while he may have tested with similar speed, I don't see the breakaway speed that JT has.Ice wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:45 amClosest Comp I have seen that I like is Le'Veon Bell. Also, Hall was most people's 1.01 and these landing spots shouldn't change that

Same lol. All I have is 2.03 and I’m trying to trade it for any 2023 2nd but I can’t lollukkynumber13 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 9:58 pm I have zero FOMO about not owning any 1st round picks in any of my leagues
Re: Consensus 1.01?
Hall is first to me. Only thing that scares me about the Jets is their O-line. I don't think it'll damage Hall's production significantly but it will hinder the passing game IMO. I see Hall getting a ton of dump-offs to alleviate the pass rush. Hate to say it but Carter's value is now just as a handcuff to me.

A lot of "ifs" but:
- if Becton can get below 400lbs and play like anywhere close to a top 10 pick
- if Alijah Vera-Tucker can take a 2nd year leap
- if Laken Tomlinson can be as good for the Jets as he was for SF
- if George Fant can continue to show the form as one of the few bright spots of last year's debacle
I would rate this line at full strength over the Seahawks, the Falcons, and probably the Steelers too - and I know that sounds crazy to say.
Re: Consensus 1.01?
Fwiw, the jets were ranked middle of the road as an OL unitprinefan wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:47 am Hall is first to me. Only thing that scares me about the Jets is their O-line. Re: Consensus 1.01?
I don't think he's as good of a prospect as JT. JT didn't go any higher in the NFL draft but people were a lot higher on him for a lot longer. Breece was always the top RB prospect but he didn't really separate and have his value blow up until the combine. JT had a lot more pedigree. My BallZach Ertz wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:31 am Let’s talk about Hall for a second outside of landing spot. How much talent does this kid have? Also while Indy hasn't been a great team, they have a great run blocking O-line. I think you're forgetting that at the time headed into that draft Indy was considered an elite landing spot for a RB, and everyone was hoping one of the backs would get drafted there.
