AJB owner offered this

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

AJB owner offered this

Postby noen10 » Thu Apr 28, 2022 8:03 pm

I inquired about his availability after his trade thinking to buy low.

He offered 23 1st for him. I’ve finished second and 3rd in this league so I would assume this pick would be late.
Thanks,
Nick

If you can get Brown for a late 1st, I would make the deal quickly. If you are moving him for a late 1st, easy hold.

Why do people feel the situation got worse for AJ Brown? I like Hurts over Tannehill. Brown is the no1 WR there and Devonta will take some attention away from him. If anything, its Kind of bad for Devonta.

Because Hurts hasn't proven the ability to throw the ball yet. At least Tannehill was decently accurate and could read a defense. But I agree, long term this is probably an upgraded situation. If hurts doesnt drastically improve this season, they will be upgrading next year for sure and have the draft capital to easily do it.

If you can get AJB for a late 1st, jump all over it. Hes still a really good football player with plenty of time left for a long term investment.

Brown’s value takes a hit because Hurts is terrible at throwing the football. Have you watched him? I’ve watched him a lot and think he’s probably the least accurate passer with a starting job. Brown is now competing with Devonta Smith and Dallas Goedert for targets too

I still think he’s worth a 2023 early + 2023 late first based on talent though

Those read-options and RPOs create a ton of easy reads for QBs. As long as he's healthy and running and the play calling is good, he'll get 1 on 1s.

Slightly. His knees have been an ongoing issue.

Exactly what I was thinking. Scares me giving up a 23 first for a guy with a bad qb and bad knees….

You are buying a top 5-10 startup player for a late 1st round draft pick. Logically, that would imply you expect every player taken in the 1st round of the 2023 draft will bump out every player already in the top ten of startups. (there are a few other scenarios but you get the point I'm trying to make)

Take the deal and flip AJB if you don't want him.
TEAM 1 - 12 man SF. ppr, TEP 1.65 ppr

11 starters - QB, RB(2) WR(3) TE, SF, Flex(3)

Stroud, Kyler, Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson, Minshew, Trey Lance, Dalton l, Mike White

Breece, Achane, AJ Dillon, Justice Hill, Evan Hull, Chris Rodgriquez

Chase, Lamb, Waddle, Olave, London Drake, Demario Davis, Jake Bobo

Kyle Pitts, Mark Andrews, Kincaid, Schoonmaker

24 picks - 1x2, 3,4,5

Team 2-
12 man SF, .25ppc, .5ppr rbs, 1 ppr wr, 1.5 ppr TE

Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawerence, Jake Haehner, Jake Browning

JT, Kendre Miller,, K Ingram, Ty Chandler, Michael Carter, Kenny Macintosh, Sean Tucker

Puka, Rondale, Mooney, Wan’dale, Terrace Marshall, DPJ, Justyn Ross, Xavier Hutchinson,

Kyle Pitts, Luke Musgrave, Juwan Johnson, Darnell Washington, Jelani Woods, Elijah Higgins

24 - 1st x 3, 2nd x 2, 4th x 3 ,5
