Trading Swift?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trading Swift?

Postby ZnackPack » Tue Apr 05, 2022 9:33 am

I have an offer on the table that would likely net me the 2022 1.03 and Tee Higgins for Swift. I already have the 1.01 and the following backs:

Gibson, Saquon, Dobbins, Hunt, Penny

Giving up Swift is a big one, because I view him as a top 5 dynasty RB, but if I can grab Breece Hall at the 1.01, get Higgins and the 1.03 would that be worth considering?

Thanks!

Welcome to the community!

Based on all the factors here, I would make this deal. Higgins is a great young WR and the 1.03 on top is solid value. The deal is easier to make for me based on the fact you will get Hall as well. Swift is a bit capped in his system and this is a great return.

Rare opportunity where I'm okay with moving a young RB in dynasty without getting one back, but I'd be on board given your depth at the position. Make sure you dangle Swift to the rest of your league before hitting accept. Gotta do your due diligence before you move a player like that.

i am not nearly as high on swift as you or most people for that matter. this dude had 500 rush yards in 2020 and made the huge leap to 600 rush yards in 2021. i just dont get his valuation hes on a terrible team and doesnt get bellcow type work or elite production. he had 260 of his 617 rush yards in 2 games. thats less than 400 rush yards the rb provided over the other 15 weeks of the season. his value was held up by goff needing to dump passes off a ton and having no other weapons to work with. people in non ppr leagues probably think this guys a dud and then the full point ppr guys are like swift rules! haha. I would make this trade personally
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp
Dak , Herbert
Achane, Breece Hall, KW3Kyren,Ford, Miller, Spiller, z evans, singletary
J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2
12 team .5ppr
qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, te, flx,flx,
Fields, Dak
Ford,Mixon, Javonte, Mostert, Chubb, Spears
Hopkins, Evans, g Wilson Mingo, shaheed, Jamo
Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Kenny Clark, josh allen, jaelen phillips, felix a-u and a bunch of fluff and rookie fliers at idp

I prefer Higgins over swift, so the pick on top makes this a no brainer.

I am a big fan of Swift being a Lions fan but he's never going to be a bell cow back but he is a good PPR back with lots of talent. I'd take this deal though pretty easily.
12 team league - 1.0 PPR - 6pt TD's
Start 1Qb, 2Rb, 2Wr, 1Te, 2Flex, 1SF

Prescott, Brissett, Watson, Geno Smith, Corral
Mixon, Damien Harris, Carter, Jamaal Williams, Hines, Sermon, Ingram
Chase, Hill, DJ Moore, D. Smith, Marvin Jones, Shenault, R. Moore
Hockenson, Higbee, Smith, Otton

2023(1,1,1,1,1,3,4,4)
2024(1,2,3,4)

Sorry to hear that, good for you for continuing to turn on NFL games every Sunday.

Completely agree with your take though.
