Quite the opposite I think. I don't think he's valued nearly as much as he should be.
I just don't think he's very good tbh

I was sure the Jags would give him a big contract only to never be heard from again a la Julius Thomas
Two productive years in a row, no more Cooper, franchise tagged. All signs point to him being used and being important to the offense

Jags probably would have given him a big contract if Dallas didn't franchise him.

Hockenson, Fant, Goedert make up the next tier for me.

Then we get into the upside players that have flashed in limited playing time: Albert O, Friermouth.

Then the retreads that probably will never break into the next tier:

putting hockenson in the top tier, the answer to this is: the cheapest i can get in the next tier, that pretty much goes from TE7 to TE20.
this game is full of back-end TE1s, so if i can't get the top dogs, i might as well roll with the cheapest option i can find that'll be likely 1ppg behind the TE7.

I think he has a chance. I thought he flashed the year prior to last. Conklin had a decent year last year in the offense, and I see no reason Smith can’t do the same. Assuming he comes back from injury ok of course.

Schultz by far on the 6 spot. He’s probably over Waller at this point.

I am targeting Albert O. Great price, great QB fit and he is young. His price is rising, but still less than most of the names listed in this thread.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

Depends how high you are. I'd caution too much optimism until the bears prove they have a capable offense.

Zimmer/Spielman regime wasn’t too impressed with him from what I hear. New brass is a new chance here, and he’s a good a shot as a lot of guys mentioned I think. Conklin is gone also.

He looked that way last year with Blake Jarwin coming back and then ran away with the job again.

Schultz isn't overly talented, nor does he seem highly skilled either, but he's producing and there are targets open in Dallas with Cooper gone and Gallup still recovering from ACL. He seems very situation-dependent, and at least for one more season, he has a good situation.

It's all about chasing difference makers at TE.

David Gautieri (@GuruFantasyWrld) put out a pretty interesting stat yesterday, I thought it was relevant in this thread:

"Since 2000 there have been 15 TEs to hit 75+ receptions AND 1,000+ yards at least once. Every single one of them either: (A) Was drafted in RD1/RD2 or (B) Ran a 4.68 or faster.

Every. Single. One.
"

EDIT: Pitts NEARLY* did this in year one. Insane.

TEs I know of that meet BOTH of those thresholds:
(There may be more, I'll have to do some more research but these are the standouts to me)
- Noah Fant (RD1 | 4.50)
- David Njoku (RD1 | 4.64)
- Mike Gesicki (RD2 | 4.54)
- Gerald Everett (RD2 | 4.62)
Edit: Nvm I looked it up, here are the rest of the active TEs that meet those thresholds: Engram, Irv Smith, OJH, Hurst, Ebron

Notable TEs who just missed on having both:
(I'm sure there are/have been many others, but relevant to this conversation)
- Dallas Goedert (40 time = 4.69)**
- TJ Hockenson (40 time = 4.70)
- Cole Kmet (40 time = 4.70)
- Pat Freiermuth (40 time = 4.77)
- Dawson Knox (RD3 Draft Capital)
- *Schultz missed on both

**I've seen two different 40 times for Goedert. The other is 4.67, so he would meet both thresholds

As for OP's question: the next two I'm looking to acquire after the big 5 are Goedert (I like what I've seen), and Fant (insane upside especially when factoring in cost).

Interesting stats, and I like your targets.. but I don't think these TEs necessarily need to have both. Kelce, Mark Andrews were 3rd round picks. Kittle was a 5th rounder. Darren Waller was a 6th rounder. That's 4 out of the 5 elite TEs that didn't meet the round 2 qualifier.

You either want hyper athletic TEs (Kittle, Waller, Pitts, Vernon Davis, Fant, Albert O), Basketball background jump ball artists (Graham, Gates, Gonzalez). Guys that enter the equation via draft capital alone tend to be later breakouts (Greg Olsen, OJ Howard)
