2 Trades, How'd I Do?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

2 Trades, How'd I Do?

Postby dynastyfootballer » Fri Mar 25, 2022 6:20 am

Trade 1 - Team 1

Gave: 2.01 and '23 2nd (proj mid)
Got: 2023 1st (proj mid)

Rationale: I don't love who I could have gotten at 2.01, am much higher on the 2023 class, and am coming off a championship appearance with this team and feel confident enough about my chances of running it back next year with this roster and the 1.01 while moving some draft capital value back to 2023.

Trade 2 - Team 2

Gave: Lenny + Gabe Davis + 2.08
Got: Saquon + 2.11

Rationale: Saquon is RB16 on KTC which is egregiously low imo so wanted to try to buy low on him. That team could use another RB still but nice to have some top end talent.

Traded #1 - I think you did well here as the 2023 1st will grow in value with the hype of the class. Hopefully the pick ends up earlier than expected but either way, you gain value here.

Trade #2 - I am extremely low on Barkley and he is a sell for me everywhere for the right return. That being said, Fournette is on borrowed time for value as well. If you are not a legit contender, I think this is the last offseason to cash out for a decent return. Although he hit last year in Tampa, there is no saying he does this year. All in all, I like this deal for the price but would happily cash out if anyone is buying Barkley at a nice return.

I like them both. Trades 2s for 1s is easily a win. You have some WR depth that Gabe might not see your playing field. Balances out your RB depth which was a little shorter.

Like #1, but not #2. I’d be on the Barkley sell side

I think you did well on both. If Saquon strings together 3-4 strong games his value will improve greatly. LF is a good piece, but not a piece to build around
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

I'm with the majority here. Trade 1 is an easy yes. Trade 2 will look really good if you can flip Barkley after a few good games, but at least he's a lot more likely to see a value boost in-season than Fournette is.

Well done on the first trade. I'd take that every day of the week.

The second trade is even for me. I am not big Saquan guy, but hopefully the O-line improves. I don't see Fournette being as good as last year with the losses at O-line in Tampa.
