I’d exhaust all these options since you don’t want to sell JJ these deals will make you feel warm and cozy you can always still make him add Pitts but that might be too far

or I want 4 1sts + 2 in 22, and 2 in 23 (all high)...... and ask for Waddle or Johnson on top...

if he says no..you get to keep jefferson.

I’d push him to the limit and ask for waddle, Pitts, and however many of those ‘23 1sts he’s willing to let go of. Throw the ball in his court and tell him you have no interest in trading JJ but if he overwhelmed you you’d do it and “this is what it would take, let’s make a deal NOW” and whatever happens after that happens but he’s obviously trying to pair chase and Jefferson for the next decade and in his mind he’s willing to make it happen no matter what it takes (I know the mindset I have the same exact mindset) and is more than willing to overpay to make his dream come true. Make it come true but make sure he isn’t celebrating too much after it’s complete you’ve gotta make it hurt for him too but also make sure you get some solid assets in return

Hahaha fair enough. He agreed on one last night but by the time I got around to being able to send it he backed out.

Give: Jefferson + 2023 2 (early)
Get: Diontae + 1.03 + 2023 1 (mid) + 2023 1 (mid/late)

I really don’t want to do it without securing what I expect to be an early 2023 1st in the process

Yea chase he won’t do bc he wants to stack chase and JJ. Waddle was also a non starter. I’ll prolly walk away at this rate unless I can get the late 2023 1 moved up to an early 2023 1

I'd say just wait and keep Jefferson. As mentioned, he wants JJ, but you don't have to sell him. Make your offer (it should be an overpaid on his end) and go from there. He'll come back later and you should receive what you want for the 2nd best dynasty WR out there. If he doesn't, you keep JJ and you're absolutely fine.

Yea as of now I'm keeping him. The last deal we had was Jefferson + 2023 2 (early) for Diontae + 1.03 + 2023 1 (mid/late) + 2023 1 (mid/late). I asked him to move one of those 2023 1s to a projected early but he wouldn't do it. So for now I'll gladly hang onto Jefferson and run it back
