2022 Offseason Trades

I moved Chase early in the off-season so it's interesting to see other trades of what he is selling for. Deebo plus 2 firsts on paper sounds fine, but the deal feels a little light. Although I'm not sure I did any better. Through a series of trades I sent (non-ppr league):

Sent: J. Chase, B. Aiyuk, D. Singletary, L. Shenault, R. Moore, P. Freirmuth
Received: M. Pittman, J. Jeudy, T. Etienne, C. Hubbard, M. Gesicki, 3 2023 1sts

Yeah, you did better, at least assuming those firsts aren't all late. I'd rather Pittman over Aiyukh, Jeudy over Moore, Etienne over Singletary. Hubbard and Shenault, who cares. Gesicki and Friermuth could go either way depending on personal opinion. Chase for 3 1sts is probably market value, again as long as they're not all late.

For the other deal, I'd rather keep Chase. Samuel is a good player, but the odds are against him ever repeating this season. To get three maybes added on isn't enough; I'd need one more REALLY good asset.

My thoughts as well. Was kind of surprised to see it. Go from being pretty set with Allen and Dak to needing a QB again too. But if everyone agreed, trades would almost never happen I guess.

Would be curious to see a poll on this one. I’d sell chase for that. He’s my WR1 in dynasty but that’s a lot on top of deebo.

deebo is great, but 1.09 is pretty meh, 2.07 is filler, and a random 1st in '24 doesn't really excite me.

x2. I'll stick with the guy 4 years younger and on a higher trajectory than Deebo ever was. The "weak" 2022 class picks aren't bad, but they aren't great being so late. You might grab Bell/Jameson/Drake? at 1.7. 2nd rounders are always a crapshoot, but nice to bolster a roster with if needed. No 2023 picks in a hyped up super juiced worth every squeeze class. Then a long distance 1st in 2024 that if any indication on the 2022 picks will be late as well. It's not a bad deal, but it's not one I would make without more certainty behind it.

Yeah, I get it. Also disclaimer, I play more SF and/or deeper starting req leagues, AND I usually advise selling guys when they hit Chase level value, AND I value future 1sts more than most, so I guess it makes sense if I’m the minority here.

I lost whatever faith I may have had in Wilson and was ready to jump ship. D. Mills has the look of career backup to me, at best. The value may not have been the greatest, but I’m happy enough to be getting out now.
