I am more struck that there is a decent chance for the 2nd straight SB, one team will be playing in their home stadium. The Rams are set up with the last two games of the season being home games........

I have no issue with the 49ers in the Super Bowl. I love a good defense.killer_of_giants wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 10:34 amand if it was the choking packers in their place it would be... better?FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 11:24 pm The fact the 49ers are in the NFC title game is just bad for football. Rams vs 49'ers for the NFC championship I think. We'll see, but the Bucs are pretty beat up, and I believe we'll have an all NFC West title game. As for the Chiefs vs Bills, that game is a toss-up to me. I could easily see either team winning that one. Should be a good day of football!

I just think the Rams DLine is going to destroy the bucs line and Brady is going to have his hands full. Not that he can’t overcome that. But it’s going to be a big ask.Shoreline Steamers wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 11:25 amRams vs 49'ers for the NFC championship I think. At a score of 10 - 3, with about 6 minutes to play, GB with the ball, a couple of first downs could have helped GB win. Instead, the Packers lose 9 yards, and the block punt happens at their goal line.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 10:25 am Just an all-time choke job by the Packers ST. Have to think they're in for a rebuild here. Rodgers gone. Adams gone. Some players will probably be cut to get them under the cap since they're projected to be $44 million over.
NFL is probably praying that the Bucs and Chiefs win today.
Rodgers shares blame in this game as well as the ST. Bottom line, a championship QB helps makes plays in Championship games. Rodgers, for being one of the all time greats, again, doesn't get it done.

This is exactly what I'm expecting to happen as well. Anticipating Brady will be pretty frustrated by the time this one is over. But we'll see how this ages over the next few hours!murphysxm wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 11:40 amI just think the Rams DLine is going to destroy the bucs line and Brady is going to have his hands full. Stafford needs to protect the football on his end, but the Ram's passing strength is the Buc's weakness on defense. And if Cam Akers plays well, his thread is going to blow-up again.

I agree that in a vacuum, the GB ST lost the game for them. Aaron Rodgers had done -enough- to win. But he -also- hadn't done enough to not lose... 10 pts in a Championship game doesn't cut it, and neither does 13 really.remedy29 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 23, 2022 12:00 pmAt a score of 10 - 3, with about 6 minutes to play, GB with the ball, a couple of first downs could have helped GB win. Per Bob Sturm, long time Packers beat:
https://twitter.com/SportsSturm/status/ ... 19498?s=20
These Rodgers decisions looked a lot like the decisions he's made when he's lost in other playoffs, too. He locks in on Adams, and he stops trusting the scheme - at perhaps the most important moment of the season.
There will be excuses, but this loss is also very much on him.
Re: Divisional Weekend Discussion
I certainly want the Rams to win, but historically, teams, coaches and opposing QBs choke against Brady. I'll be impressed if Stafford doesn't choke.
Re: Divisional Weekend Discussion
I think the main camera in the Bucs-Rams game must be at a lower elevation or closer to the sideline than in the newer stadiums. It makes the field look narrow.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

I know I've already said it, but Claypool was lambasted for his lack of situational awareness this year, and Aaron Jones, really screwed up at the end of the half. A veteran player needs to know better. This video title is apt.

You have to know the situation. Saving your team the timeout would have been crucial, and honestly, he didn't gain any more yards by doing whatever that was. It blows my mind players don't understand stuff like this when a guy at home drinking beer and eating chips knows he should be getting out of bounds. The amount of stupidity that happens throughout a football game sometimes is mind boggling. Like the 4th quarter of the Cowboys/49ers game, for instance.

Agree regarding Aaron Jones. Thought the same thing as I was watching it. Perhaps he thought he could scored, before easily getting caught from behind.
