He's a middle of the pack NFL QB at this point. That MVP type play isn't coming back.

As long as K Allen and J Jacobs can't combine to outscore Ekelar by 20 points in the final 1 1/2 quarters I'll bring home my 4th championship this season

Can't believe I'm saying this but I find myself rooting for the Raiders
Also partly because I want to play Pittsburgh but still...what a story from their midseason low point

Chargers HC is a bumbling fool. They can do better. As a Raiders fan, I am thankful.

I just can't believe that final Chargers time out.
Chargers have a history of beating themselves, but that was next level.

Re: First Ever Week 18 Discussion Thread ..
I don't think it mattered, there were about 4 seconds left on the play clock. I believe the Raiders planned to run the ball and kick if they got the first down, punt if they didn't at that point. However going for it inside your own 20 in a a close game in the 3rd quarter is next level stupid without a doubt. He cost them the Chiefs game, and IMO this game. He's not a good coach.qazxswedcvfrtgbnhyuj wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 10:27 pm I just can't believe that final Chargers time out.

EDIT: The time out certainly didn't help, but it's just a questionable decision in a long list of them. They lost at least 2 games this year due to the HC, IMO. They need to upgrade there. Herbert is the real deal, Staley isn't the reason for his success. The fact the Chargers didn't make the playoffs, and the way they didn't make it, with dumb HC decisions costing them wins vs 2 divisional opponents, I would move on from him. Simply not good enough with this team, and he's holding them back.

Ok so i know, i know, the chargers lost and QBs get credit for wins and blame for losses. However if we toss that out, is it time to talk about Herbert as the best QB in the league? Or do we need to wait another year? I mean that drive last night reminded me of peak Pats Brady.

He’s certainly in the conversation. I’d still reserve the title for Mahomes, despite the “down year”. His final stats were nearly identical to Mahomes this year though.Patsfan86 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:34 am Ok so i know, i know, the chargers lost and QBs get credit for wins and blame for losses.
