How much do we like waddle

Postby imi814 » Wed Dec 29, 2021 2:07 pm

Hi all

I have one share of waddle. For team 1 in sig for 2 qb league I got him at 2.01. Almost took etienne but boy I am happy to have him. He is getting a ton of targets and is already top 20 scoring wr. What do we think of him going forward? I think next year he could be top 10 especially if Miami fixes the running game.

I think you’ll see him consistently ranked as a WR1 this offseason (not THE WR1, but top 12 at the position).

I love the volume he is getting, and he’ll get more down field targets as Tua & the o-line improve.

After suffering with high-talent, but low volume guys like Metcalf & DJ Moore, Waddle is becoming my favorite WR.

Probably put in the tier 2 or tier 3 of wrs if I had to guess like wr8-12 range. For reference he needs 60 yards in 2 games to meet the 1000 yard rookie threshold(16 games as he missed one 2ith covid). Which comes wjth all the given stupid hit rate and insta value bumps

True stud.

Aside from JJ and Chase, Waddle impresses me as much as any other WR drafted in the past three years. DKM and AJB will probably continue to be ranked above him for this offseason by others, but I'm moving Waddle ahead of both. I've already moved Waddle at least as high as Lamb, and above every other 1st-3rd year WR for dynasty rankings.

Perceived talent is one thing, but I'm a sucker for production. As a rookie, Waddle is set to post over 100 receptions, 1000 yds, and 6+ TDs. As a rookie, Waddle is already a WR1 in PPR. As Tua improves and as Waddle improves, he'll only move up in the rankings.

Always liked him. He was my 1.04 in 1QB (rookie wr2). There is still the potential for Watson to end up in Miami and if he does I think that boosts waddle more.

He's putting up huge numbers in short game, but he can run the deep routes too, it's just a question of tua getting the ball to him deep.

I could see him creeping up to an early 2nd late 1st startup in a 1 QB league thanks to his youth, position, and rookie output.

He is producing even with out lots of tds. Next year if he adds some more tds his ranking will be even higher.

I mean, I've got him climbing bigtime... Jefferson, Chase, Lamb, Deebo, AJB, Diontae, Higgins, DJM, Pittman and Waddle are the best of the young guys (yeah, I'm fading DK a bit. Add in Tyreek, Kupp and maybe an Adams type. So I'm probably drafting him somewhere between WR7-WR12 range I suppose depending on how you prefer to build.

This is a bit much for me. DKM & AJB have proven it multiple seasons, and I'd still take Lamb over Waddle. But if you believe in Waddle that much, go get him.

Keep in mind once they get more talent he won't be seeing 15 targets a week. Still, no knock on him, just don't expect 120 catches year in year out.

As a counterpoint a player with his level of athleticism will also being seeing a greater ypr so while his targets will come down Im expecting him to creep up more to the 12 or 13 ypr mark
