Chubb value check

Postby Rustycage » Fri Nov 19, 2021 6:30 am

I'm in a bit of a rebuild in one league and have considered moving Chubb. I haven't been getting the offers I expected and am wondering if I am overvaluing him or just getting low balled.

Offers:

McLaurin, Sanders and a 2nd for Chubb/Woods

Two late firsts and T. Marshal for Chubb

The other offers aren't really worth considering imo.
12 Team Dynasty, (SF) (2pt/c TE Prem)
QB - Wentz, Heinicke, Big Ben, Fitz, Tyrod, Rudolph
RB - Henry, Kamara, CMC, R. Jones, D. Felton, P. Lindsay
WR - Ridley, Pittman, Cooks, M. Williams, MT, AJG, R. Higgins, Perriman, Shi Smith, MVS
TE - Gesicki, Engram, Uzomah, Hurst, Manhertz, Farrell

McLaurin + is decent return but far from a slam dunk, but if you are not happy with the returns, hold and shop him in the offseason. No need to rush a deal for an elite back. The first deal is ify for me too because Sanders is not good.

What are you expecting to get? I'd value both offers at three 1sts. Maybe a swap to elite and young wr? You may find it, but your going to have to put in the work. Those owners aren't sitting around thinking that they want/need Chubb. Check the pulse and that may stir some interest.

I like the 1st offer. If Philly continues to be so run heavy, Sanders is going to have a great end to the season and his value will grow and you can flip him if you desire
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

First offer is ok but I would be slow to take it too. Don’t like the 2nd at all. I’d value the ‘22 late firsts and Marshall all at 2nd round value. Firsts get downgraded for me because the class looks very weak.

Two late firsts and T Marsh is not great for Chubb.
The other deal is fine, but I think you can get better assets in return.

T Mac is a great player, but his FF situation is meh. Sanders is also a very good player, but for whatever reason they don’t run him like they should. If he manages a heavier workload upon his return then that may change things. Woods and a 2nd are a wash.

I don't like either deal, personally. I'd rather hold Chubb in a rebuild than take that for a return.

Thanks for all the responses guys, work got busy and I just caught up on everything.

Seems like opinions are all over the place on this one, which probably explains why I am flip flopping on that first offer so much. My team is crap in general, one of the worst I've ever drafted honestly. I have a bit of a rebuild ahead of me and RB1 is a tough hole to fill, which is why I'm so hesitant to move Chubb. My main concern with the offer is that I personally don't think Sanders ever becomes anything special. Philly just doesn't seem to want to use him and I expect him to share the load the rest of the way. If that's the case this feels like Chubb for Terry and while I like Terry it's tough to bank on anything in Washington right now.

I'm going to counter and see if adding Trey Sermon breaks the deal. It would be nice to have one more "chance" at an RB since I'm moving a sure thing.
