No I mean put how many points your pretrade lineup would have scored this year week 1, then next week do week 2 etc. I didn’t see it but maybe I’m just misreading or missing it

Josh Jacobs - I benched him against the Ravens
Sutton - I benched against NYG

And as a reminder: I would have lost this week in a heartbreaker with my old lineup.
Interesting. I’ll be watching to keep seeing how this continues to play out. Good luck and congrats on the win!

Winning is nice an all, but man its got to be rough seeing the likely QB1 Kyler Murray just torching the field. Still can't imagine a scenario where I'd trade my two Murray shares for anything less than a massive overpay. In superflex leagues, he will win weeks by himself.

This is the point of the exercise and the commentary around it. For me its actually not rough seeing Kylers 42 point week at all because right next to it is Rodgers' 1 point week along with a handful of other duds and disappointments that would have wasted the effort. This was the theme of my season last year. If all 5 of my best players dont blow up then I have close to 0 chance of winning in a league that starts 12 players because the other 7 were putting up duds. Its rougher IMO seeing one player blow up and the rest of your team sucking it up.

RECORD IN LEAGUE THROUGH WEEK 3
Previous Team: 0-3
Current Team: 2-1

CURRENT TEAM VS PREVIOUS TEAM
Current team: 2-1

Notes: I havent even started Jacobs once yet, and I have suffered injuries to Landry and Tyrod. Last year injuries to Godwin, Golladay, Parker, and Jarwin destroyed my team. This is the reason why I decided to go with more depth, and it feels good to be weathering injuries at the moment. Im currently seeking to upgrade or add depth to my TE spot as it seems like I never get solid production there.

Most of your trades have been good. However, the bolded ones are the ones people feel you lost significant value and the ones you are having to recover from. Sure, sometimes lopsided trades work out, but none of these were in your favor at the time. I could trade Davante Adams for a couple 3rd round picks, and even if I get lucky and hit on a Terry Mclaurin in the draft it doesn't mean I won the trade.

Nice adjustments though. Buying Ridley and Williams low were great moves.

Nice work on the Ridley deal.

As much as I am enjoying keeping up with the weekly results, I can't be the only one that feels like it gets less and less meaningful the deeper we get into the season. It's comparing a team from a snapshot in time to an evolving one. A team that is active and able to make waiver moves or trades will usually come out on top of one that isn't able to make moves and adjust for injuries.

It's not a coincidence that the more active owners tend to do better than ones that barley log in.

WR: Lamb, DJM, Higgins, E Moore, London, JuJu, Samuel, Shennault, Amari Rodgers, Dyami Brown

I think you're right in terms of comparing a snapshot to an evolving team. My league is pretty active and competitive. Im definitely the most active trader in most leagues I am in. It is challenging in this league because the rosters are so deep most relevant players are rostered already (except Geno Smith at this point which Im trying to drop all of my FAAB on). At this point Im not as interested in comparing the before and after as I am with comparing the concepts of building a team around a couple of studs vs building a team with a deeper roster full of solid players sprinkled with upside. I think the point many people made initially is that on paper the original team was better because it had more players with upside and because of that the value I received back in some trades were insufficient - which I can definitely see in some regards. However, what I suspect is that some of these players were actually being overvalued in comparison to their actual production and my goal was to sell a small handful of players and rebuild by my team around a much larger volume of buy low players. At this point it looks to be working OK. We will see how it continues as injuries and bye weeks start to filter in.

I would really like to hear from everyone who swore by my first team, As it stands right now it has been performing pretty terribly. I would be 2-3 and 2nd to last in my league standings, instead of what looks to be 4-1 and in 3rd place. Not only that but my new team would be 4-1 against my old team and has scored more points, in spite of a slew of injuries. I know its early to take victory laps, and thats not even what this is about. But I would really like to engage in a conversation reflecting on how the overwhelming majority on this forum could see my old team and call it better without question....thats what was always fascinating to me.
