Williams may be a bit of a boom/bust type of play, but in the end, he should be able to pull off a WR2 floor this year. Perhaps something like 60 receptions, 1000 yards, and 8 touchdowns at the minimum.

However, if they fall out of the playoff hunt and throw Herbert in there, all bets are off.
Tyrod Taylor has historically targeted WRs less and RBs/TEs more. I think Williams holds a lot more value if Herbert goes out there.
In the 3 years Taylor was in Buffalo he targeted RB/TEs 48% of the time and WRs 52%. Last year the Chargers targeted RB/TEs 48.5% of the time and WRs 51.5%; with 90 of those targets going to Mike Williams. I don't see those numbers going down this year. And as far as Herbert goes; he's a total unknown in the NFL at this point.

The words ‘floor’ and ‘minimum’ are completely out of place here. How a new career year are those two things is beyond my comprehension.
Okay, my floor may have been a wee bit optimistic, but if Williams can get back to the catch and TD rate he had 2 years ago, he would exceed those numbers.

I'm from and center among the Mike Williams fan club, but today's shoulder injury has me pretty concerned. Spent last season playing through an evidently extremely painful knee injury after hurting it Week 1, this dude needs a healthy season.

MWill is a prospect I have believed in for quite some time. I feel like he'll be the next to have a "Devante Parker style" late breakout. Herbert my or may not unlock him. I'm hopeful but not convinced. Worst case, he's a free agent at age 27 in 2022 and maybe links up with his old teammate Watson or one of the elite QBs.

I'm not crazy hopeful but I'm not selling cheap. Selling for a DB is not the right move. In terms of rookie picks, I'd slot him somewhere between 2.02-2.05 range.

I like him a lot. If he puts it all together he vaults himself into top 20 Wr category or higher. Phillip Rivers has had a great career BUT sometimes qb changes can help players and i think this could help. Rivers was always locked on to Keenan Allen so perhaps this changes that dynamic a bit and targets get spread out more between the two.

Was never a fan, but I'd be a MW buyer if his value is depressed. Tyrod is actually a situational improvement for his WR archetype.

I've long been a disappointed fan of Williams, but I'm still holding out hope. This shoulder injury is a bit concerning. I've still got him in a couple of leagues but recently traded him in a salary cap league. I just couldn't see hanging on to him any longer when my WR corps in that league includes Nuk, Godwin, Gallup, JuJu, Ridley, and CeeDee. Couldn't see him cracking my weekly lineup there. In other leagues where I have him, I look at him as a legit WR3 with WR1/2 upside. If he can get and stay healthy. Is this becoming a recurring theme?

I read it could be 4-6 weeks, but who knows. I ended up moving him. Did another deal shortly after and got Boyd so I'm happy.

Yes feels unlikely, but no also feels unlikely. I guess that’s the same thing as both seem likely, but it sure feels different. And this is now a very long way of saying I guess I don’t know.

The new OC had reduced his adot and has put him in better position to be more consistent, I'm a buyer in the new MW.
