Re: Saquon Barkley - Dynasty Discussion Thread
Activated off PUP. Been seeing him sliding down redraft rankings, presuming that reflects a decline in valuation for dynasty contenders.

He'll be shooting back up in no time, especially if he gets any preseason run - even a single series would be huge.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 9:44 am Activated off PUP. Been seeing him sliding down redraft rankings, presuming that reflects a decline in valuation for dynasty contenders.

He'll see the field without a doubt...from the sidelines. Week 1 is looking doable though.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 7:54 amDoubt he sees the field in pre season.DLF3000 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 11, 2021 6:46 amHe'll be shooting back up in no time, especially if he gets any preseason run - even a single series would be huge.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 9:44 am Activated off PUP. Less than a week before week 1 and Saquon hasn't been cleared. I have Booker everywhere I have Barkley. Anyone considering benching Barkley, and for who?

I would probably bench him, because if he plays, I don't think he's getting a full work load week 1.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 3:41 pm Less than a week before week 1 and Saquon hasn't been cleared. I have Booker everywhere I have Barkley. Anyone considering benching Barkley, and for who?

Don’t plan to start him until he’s on the field a lotFantasyFreak wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 3:48 pmI would probably bench him, because if he plays, I don't think he's getting a full work load week 1.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 3:41 pm Less than a week before week 1 and Saquon hasn't been cleared. I'm probably starting Saquon either way Week 1. Deep league, 12 starters, not really sold yet on the young guys I'd have to sub in for him.

Currently starting him in my flex for week 1. Depending on your depth, I think Barkley getting 50% of touches still puts up WR3/flex numbers and will be a better option than many others; especially his TD upside.

That's a tough D they are going up against. I think it might be a down week for that offense in general.dustyroads wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:49 am Currently starting him in my flex for week 1. Re: Saquon Barkley - Dynasty Discussion Thread
Yeah, I've been tossing it around because of the matchup. I may wind up switching him out depending for an offseason/camp hype WR. Projections from MFL/Sleeper/ESPN are always pretty off for the first few weeks IMO, but I think it still gets in my subconscious tossing around who to start as my flex in the early season. I still think something like 10 carries for 40 yards, 2 receptions for 15 yards, and a TD would be totally in the realm of possibilities even with limited touches. ~13-14 pts for my flex would be nice week 1 and part of me feels like Barkley would be more reliable to get there then Mike Williams/Bryan Edwards/Kenny Golladay/Ja'marr Chase. Of course I'm probably over thinking it, but I tend to always leave some points on the bench when picking my flex players every week.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 10:56 amThat's a tough D they are going up against. Re: Saquon Barkley - Dynasty Discussion Thread
My next best RB2 option is AJ Dillon... frankly I'm nearly there - feels like I'll be praying for a goal-line TD either way.

I'm benching Barkley and starting Lockett instead. I could put him in the lineup but I'm feeling more confident with CEH/Carson/Hill/ARob/Lockett until I see how his usage is going to be

Can someone remind me what the hubbub was about Adrian Peterson heading into week 1 in his post ACL year? I know he had a monster year obviously, but did we see it coming or was it the same kind of "he might play", "he's being eased back in", etc prior to him actually dominating on the field?

Re: Saquon Barkley - Dynasty Discussion Thread
As I recall there was concern that he wouldn't be the guy he was before the injury. In a 24 team dynasty startup I was in that year he went 24th overall {and only because he was commish picked for a guy who missed his pick otherwise he may have fallen further} Before the season most folks thought he would be limited at best in his return from the injury and just like now many folks kept him on the bench until he showed he was really recovered, so some of the chatter seems to be the same as what we're hearing now, the question of course centers around how well Saquon has recovered, AD may have been more of the exception to the recovery rule than the norm though at least medical technology has continued to advanceVcize wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 8:28 pm Can someone remind me what the hubbub was about Adrian Peterson heading into week 1 in his post ACL year?
