Re: The Antonio Gibson Wager Thread --- BETS ARE OPEN UNTIL 9/9 @ 8PM
Yes Rb8. Cutting Barber only helps his goal line touches and he was already great at finding the endzone. Im sure Patterson will take some touches here but will they really put a rookie in to do that as often? I highly doubt it. He is being set up to be a true workhorse and has the recieving upside to get 5 or so targets a game. Id have him ranked higher but i dont want to disrespect some of the other RBs like Barkley Or zeke. If this is a jinx you better never post again
Re: The Antonio Gibson Wager Thread --- BETS ARE OPEN UNTIL 9/9 @ 8PM
Yes
RB5 or 6, going between him and Zeke for those two spots. Will hopefully remember to come edit this when I make up my mind lol

Re: The Antonio Gibson Wager Thread --- BETS ARE OPEN UNTIL 9/9 @ 8PM
Got burned the last time voting "yes".
Too much has to go right for someone to finish top 10. As others have said on this thread, "I'll take the field".
And why not make it a bold statement? I'll say he'll play enough games to be relevant for much of the season, but misses a few and finishes at #24, his jersey number.

2RB, 3WR, 1 FLEX, he bolded just the starters for the RB and WR positions, not the FLEX. Its more of a problem that he has Dillon listed before Gibson.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 7:32 pmqazxswedcvfrtgbnhyuj wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:51 amAs someone ownes (owned) Akers everywhere and has a ton of shares of Gibson, I'm with giant killer on this one lol.killer_of_giants wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:26 am oh ffs!

Ugh. It was right there in my quote. That's what I get for posting while sitting on my throne.
I could easily argue Gibson over Swift, if trying to get actual production.

Re: The Antonio Gibson Wager Thread --- BETS ARE OPEN UNTIL 9/9 @ 8PM
Easiest way to make a prediction is to just follow the collective hive mind. Fantasy pros has him at 11th. I'm taking him there as well. He will probably be hanging out in the top ten from a PPG perspective until injury strikes.
Now that I've taken the average, I'll have fun with a narrow, ridiculously specific prediction.
Gibson has a stellar first 2 games and hype is out of control, Fitz falls apart week 3, redeems himeself week 4, things go south for a couple games, Fitz is benched in the 3rd quarter of week 7, Heinecke is terrible week 8 which ends up a bad game for everyone, Fitz is back week 10, Fitz is benched week 12.. With Fitz on the bench week 12, defenses key in on Gibson and attack him harder. He runs harder. Week 13 he is fighting harder than ever to carry the load and he gets injured.
Jarrett Patterson performs nearly as well as Gibson for the remaining games but his production is discounted due to the 2 games against Dallas. Some managers want to extrapolate the Dallas games over 17 games. Other fantasy managers want to throw the games out completely. Arguments ensue. It's obvious to each side that Patterson is either capable of running for 9.7 ypc if you extrapolate his games or a mere 1.7 ypc if you throw out the Dallas games. I obviously mention you should always sell an UDFA back up RB for a 2nd round pick if given the opportunity. This is met with fierce opposition.
Gibson looks good when Fitz is firing on all cylinders, he looks somewhat pedestrian otherwise. Gibson owners pray Washington lands a real QB next year. Unfortunately their pick is middling and they won't get a high end prospect. They trade for Teddy Bridgewater and all non Gibson owners have a good laugh.
Gibson's price remains a little too high going into next year again.

Time to call you out @DLF_Mikeh
If you really don't believe in an RB's talent top 10 is too much of a hedge in your favor. Given the age difference between Gibson and the possible RBs that could finish ahead of him (Saquon, CMC, Kamara, Henry, Cook, Zeke, Aaron Jones, Nick Chubb, Mixon, Ekeler, Carson); If you really don't believe in his talent the threshold should be around 16, not 10.
And I'd easily put Gibson in the top 16 with the potential to finish top 5 (like all of these running backs could...). That would make him considerably more valuable than a lot of these age 25+ RBs
