DJM vs Lamb

Postby pmart33 » Thu Aug 26, 2021 6:01 pm

Team 3 in signature. What is the difference between Lamb and DJ Moore?

The lamb owner asked for Moore, a 22 1st and 23 1st which I am unwilling to pay. Neither of the picks are mine and are probably mid round

That's insane. I wouldn't pay a single first on top of Moore for Lamb. Lamb is an awful buy right now first what it's worth. His hype has pushed him deep into sell territory

He's on crack. I don't value Lamb much higher, personally I think he's over hyped, and over valued. I wouldn't add more than a 2nd. Certainly not a first, it just doesn't make sense. Unless Lamb becomes Davante Adams, Diggs etc. level as a producer, it's not worth it. WR's scoring, beyond the top tier guys is so fungible.

Both are very valuable and fairly close but an overpay will be needed in any deal for Lamb. It's a very tough time to buy him. A one for one is fair enough.

I countered with Moore, a mid 22 2nd and a late 22 2nd and it was quickly rejected. Feels like he and I are just too far apart.

I’d want a 1st on top of DJM for sure as a lamb owner. I still wouldn’t do it, but I’d think it was fair value.

Sounds like the values are too far apart. Move on and it's just a tough time to buy. As a Lamb owner, I'm not selling as I'm excited to see what he does. I also own Moore and value him highly too.

As a Lamb owner I think it's okay to say one is holding instead of sending out a huge overpay request. Even if you offered the asking price, would the owner really sell?

Moore and 2 firsts? He'd be crazy not to trade Lamb at that price, IMO.

I own Lamb and Moore across multiple leagues. I Have drafted them heavily and targeted them aggressively during rookie drafts and startup drafts. I have also traded into them where I can.

I would not be adding a first on top for either they are going to produce at the same level over the next 3-4 years I think. If you want to base this on startup rankings, then a first on top of Moore is not unreasonable. 2 firsts is sick in the head. Moore is 24 FFS.

He sent me the offer on Sleeper, so he would be willing to sell for his asking price. It’s just a pass for now that isn’t willing to knock the price down at all

Got it. No need to make that deal, totally agree.

I would rather pay the price for Lamb after he proves he is the next Julio, not before. Hard and quick pass for me on this deal. I have been burned in the past for paying for promise instead of past performance.

That is still an overpay. I don't participate in paying the price of potential before the actual production occurs.
