Bidding money is usually used on pop up players who surprise or get rolls due to injury. It usually doesn’t go for players drafted late 1st, early 2nd as rookies. If you like Carter, or even if you think you could get something for him in trade, this is using faab to buy an extra pick. It seems like a good use of that $.
