Which trade for picks should I take

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which trade should I accept

Trade A: Give Mike Davis, Engram, 4.2, 4.5. Get: 2.5, 2.10, 3.5

Trade B: Give 2.2. Get: 2.5 2.10 3.5

Which trade for picks should I take

Postby Slackalacker » Sun Jun 06, 2021 9:58 am

Team 1, 10 team SF 1PPR

I have two trade offers on the table from the same owner. I like them both and I’m wondering which would prove better value

Trade A: Give Mike Davis, Engram, 4.2, 4.5. Get: 2.5, 2.10, 3.5

Trade B: Give 2.2. Get: 2.5 2.10 3.5

The return is the same in both trades. So essentially it comes down to if I’d rather keep the 2.2 or keep MD, Engram, and some 4ths.

We have veterans in our rookie draft and I think it’s likely I can get one of Mac, Williams, devonta or waddle at 2.2. Also ive been trying to trade Engram for ages with no luck, not even a 3rd, and as of right now my best offer on Davis is an early 3rd.

If I knew I could get value for Engram and MD in a trade I’d hang onto them but this is really the only suitable offer I’ve gotten for them which makes me think I better capitalize on it. Which do you think I should take?

I would rather hold the player side and see if Davis can help you if you are hoping to contend and/or flip him in season when he is producing. He should get a ton of touches.

That’s what I was thinking. My only issue is I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get the value I should out of Engram and MD. Especially since the same two owners own picks 1.7-2.3 and none of them are interested in the two. So I’d be hoping probably for a future second for MD.

I’d go B as well. Selling Davis now isn’t a good plan... You may be able to get a first for him during the year, if you wanted to flip him. Then you might be able to include Engram as a piece in that deal.

Thanks for the input. I went ahead and traded my 2.2 for 2.5 2.10 3.5. Historically some rookies fall deeper than an average dynasty league so I’m hoping to scoop up a few good ones even late in the 2nd.
