Blount or Tolbert?

Postby knuckles50 » Wed Oct 26, 2011 6:24 pm

Who would you rather own? I think it's closer than most of us imagine. Blount looked good at the end of last year and had a lot more buzz coming into the season but Tolbert has outperformed him this year. Both are still young and both were undrafted.

I think this really depends on PPR vs. non-PPR.

If non, I'd take Blount ever day. But Tolbert does rack up quite a few catches and receiving yards so in a PPR I might choose Tolbert but it's close.

I own both and they are inconsistent this season...PPR is a difference maker but Blount is the clear cut #1 RB in Tampa. The problem I have with Tampa and Blount is when they are playing from behind, he is a non-factor in the game plan! He looked great in the 2nd half of 2010 and that may have a lot to do with how well the offense was playing, team winning games etc...Tolbert has to deal with Matthews (who has played better lately) ...if Matthews were to get injured, I would take Tolbert!

+1

I mean really guys, Blount is a far more talented runner than Tolbert. And to boot, Blount will probably see an uptick in catches w/Graham done for the year.
