Moore v Allen

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Moore v Allen

Postby JoshuaGordon_9 » Sun Apr 25, 2021 11:39 pm

Got this offer for team one in signature. Definitely debating taking it

Give:
DJ Moore, Teddy Bridgewater, 2.03

Get:
Keenan Allen, Tom Brady, 3.05

By all accounts, Teddys done in Carolina. Obviously Bradys at the end of his career, but he was QB7 last year and TB is running back that same offense. He'll still be useful for 2-3 more years.
Team 1: 12T PPR SF no premiums, 4pt TDs
QB(1-2) Herbert, Tua
WR(3-5) AJB, Adams, Sutton, Boyd, Bourne, Wicks
RB(2-4) JT, Kyren, Swift, Singletary, Moss, Ford Dobbins, Tucker
TE(1-3) Hock, Jonnu, Kmet, Kraft
3.06, 3.09

Team 2: 12T PPR, TE premium, SF
QB(1-2) Cousins, Love, Tanny, Trask, McCoy, Zappe
WR(2-6) Lamb, Olave, Hollywood, Godwin, JaMo, Sutton, Diontae, Lazard, McKensie
RB(2-6) ETN, A. Jones, Dillon, Hunt, Moss, K. Miller, S. Tucker
TE(1-5) Hock, Brock Wright, Everett

Team 3: 12T PPR SF TE Prem
QB(1-2) Fields, Young, Darnold, Trask, Dalton
WR(1-6) AJB, Pittman, Hollywood, Sutton, M. Williams, Davis, Meyers, Van Jefferson, Sheperd, McKensie
RB(1-6) Jacobs, Sanders, Akers, Hunt, T. Spears, C. Brown
TE(1-6) Schultz, Hurts, Conklin

Moore and 2.3 for me and not close.

Im an allen truther through thick and thin but age and the earlier pick would Not be worth adding brady imo. 9 will potentially be a qb via draft or trade if that's a concern.

If this is for Team1 in your post, I'm definitely choosing Keenan+Brady. While you could roll out Wilson+Cousins in SF, I don't think you can count on having Bridgewater be a useful 3rd QB. He's not the starter in Carolina any more, and may be a backup on his new undetermined team. Keenan should be at least as good as DJM this year and going forward - the only thing you lose a about 4 years between Keenan and DJ.

I think your team is built to contend now and I'd hate to see a good 2021 run undone by a QB injury because you don't have a viable 3rd QB. Also, you'll still have youth and relative youth in your WR corps. I'd definitely make the trade.
TEAM 1:

QB: Tua, Lamar, CWilliams
RB: Etienne, Pacheco, JFord, Corum, JWright
WR: Lamb, JChase, Waddle, Pickens, Q Johnston, DeDouglas, MCorley
TE: Goedert, Okongwo
DEF: Cowboys, Ravens
IDP:(LB) Bolton, DLloyd; (DE/DL) Sieler; (S/CB) Pitre, Bates
2023 & 2022 Champion: 2020 third place: 2019 Champion

TEAM 2:
14 Team 30roster SF/ppr/TEP - QB/RB/WR/TE/5FLX/SF
QB: Tua, CJStroud, Carr, AOC, MWhite, Lock
RB: Etienne, Stevenson, GusE, Singletary, AJD, CEH, Spiller
WR: Amon-Ra, Kirk, Dell, Thielen, Gallup, VJefferson, Ch Jones
TE: Andrews, Waller, Taysom, Smythe, WMallory, JOliver

If he wants brady, he likely doesn't have to make the moore/allen swap and give the 2.3. top 15 pick should be very solid. Most would take moore over allen at this point. Seems like alot for brady imo.

I prefer Moore over Allen long term but Brady helps you a lot in SF and could have multiple years left. All things considered, I would take the Brady side in SF. Allen likely outscores Moore this year too.

I'd hold here. Sloth said it best. You can get another QB without trading away WR age and an early 2nd. Brady is a good target to fill in your lineup but I don't like the acquisition cost

DJM >> Keenan
2.03 >> Brady
3.05 > Teddy

This is a terrible construct.

If you're acquiring Brady, you can't be counting on 2-3 years. Even if that's what ends up happening, at the negotiating table (and in your mind) you gotta treat it as a 1-year rental. Still, a definite upgrade over Bridgewater, short term, which for me offsets any difference between DJM and KA. This leaves the 2.03 vs. 3.05... Try subbing your 2.09 and see whether he bites.

He accepted subbing out the 2.03 for the 2.09. Appreciate the help!
