I never once heard that. In fact the opposite.

Spiller has been my comp for Etienne all along. I've made it known I'm not his biggest fan around here as well.failblazer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 5:39 amI'm the same way as the bolded comment on Etienne. I cannot shake the CJ Spiller vibes he gives me. I feel like he'll be the puff piece all-star for the next three or four offseasons, saying "this is the season Etienne breaks out!" I made a point to trade for the 1.01 as early as possible to get Harris because I didn't want to miss out and end up trying to move for Etienne. Again, only time will tell with all these guys though.jjleurquin wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 4:26 amSeems like you disagree with me on almost every player, and I’m ok with that.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Wed Apr 07, 2021 2:35 pm
Meh Agree to disagree
This year's RBs are horribly unimpressive to me. The fact someone like Etienne is even considered for a top 3 pick is evidence of that
I'd take Hall and Spiller over them easily (except Najee-that's closer). Unlike Hubbard those guys have vision and good RB instincts--not to mention hands, YAC, contact balance, not being useless on 3rd down, etc
Not sure Kyren will be a top 3 RB when it's said and done
That take in bold I’m very interested in keeping an eye on as the only RB from last years class I’d have over ETN is JT based on talent coming into the league.

Malik Willis--out of Liberty
Remember the name
Dynasty managers are going to be going gaga over him in a year--looks to me like an early QB3 candidate behind Howell/Rattler with that arm talent and rushing upside

Yeah, heard him being talked about on pff's college podcast today. Will be monitoring for sure. Can't say i watched a single down of theirs until the bowl game last year.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:01 pm Malik Willis--out of Liberty

Definitely has the size teams will love. Hasnt shown a lot so far, imo, but has a big opportunity this year with St Brown and Vaughns gone. I question his athleticism. I havent watched him a ton, but from what I have seen, I don't see it at all. Could be a result of watching the wrong the sample size though.ArrylT wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:55 am https://reignoftroy.com/posts/usc-footb ... l-crabtree

He outproduced an older Amon Ra St Brown and cracked 20% dominator for a breakout as a freshman?
I get not liking the player but he has absolutely done everything he should have from an analytical standpoint

Re: Entirely Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Again, I'm going by the 4 games I've watched of his the last two years. I saw a bunched of schemed targets his way. But didn't see someone getting a ton of separation and just didn't see someone who impresses me. Again, maybe i watched the wrong games though. His 1000 yards in 14 games is a good start, but i was just saying what ive seen with my eyes.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 12:35 pmHasn't shown a lot?tresskid84 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 11:22 amDefinitely has the size teams will love. I will say, he makes impressive contested catches and he does a nice job breaking tackles. I guess for me it is just personal preference and not being a big fan of someone I see not getting much non-manufactured separation on most of his routes, but does makes plays in contested situations.

Re: Entirely Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
TBH I haven't looked into much tape for 2022. But any early breakout automatically gets a bump up in my books (though his was a sophomore and not a freshman now that I'm looking)tresskid84 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 1:35 pm I will say, he makes impressive contested catches and he does a nice job breaking tackles. Re: Entirely Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Yes he'll be interesting to see how well he performs without those 2 around - either way was just curious if he was on peoples radar already. Since we all view through different prisms, it is not going to be a surprise if we view the same players differently. Anyways thanks for the comments.

Re: Entirely Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
I get it though, I'm not someone who generally cares about breakout age, but I'm also not going deny there is some correlation between it and future success. Just watching him, leaves a lot to be desired to me. He has also played almost exclusively in the slot so far, which isn't ideal for evaluation purposes. In the games I watched, he saw almost exclusively off-coverage.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 1:46 pmTBH I haven't looked into much tape for 2022. Calling my shot: Malik Willis will be a tier 1 QB next year alongside and maybe even ahead of Howell/Rattler

2021 CFB (2022 Draft Class)
Time to get this started!!
Charbonnet may run for as many yards as it takes to get from Michigan to UCLA lol
Charbonnet may run for as many yards as it takes to get from Michigan to UCLA lol
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards
Re: Entirely Way Too Early 2022 Draft Thread
Agree - the dominant opinion a year ago seemed to be that 2021 lacked both the top end and depth at RB, but that it had a very good and deep WR group. I'd say the 2021 class has gotten weaker over time, not better. Most of these receivers do not excite me.
