I guess I don't blame anyone if they want the rookies or to move on from Gesicki (the TE12 as a rookie and TE7 last year). I just don't like the chances that WR will be worth more than Gesicki. Adding in the future 2nd makes it pretty fair for me, but far from theft haha

Regardless whether that comes to pass or not, I just couldn't pass this deal up.

That was his 2nd and 3rd year making it much less impressive when you consider the target vacuum he's played in...

Still a TE1 the past 2 years. 2 2nds are fine, I'm just saying it wasn't a steal. As for the OP, I like that you know you can move those picks for more. That makes more sense

For my next trade I sent pick 1.01 for Cam Akers. RB was a glaring hole for my team, but outside of this I felt like I was in a good position to compete. I won’t go into too much detail, but I just really wasn’t comfortable with any of the top picks other than TLAW and QB would be a redundant pick for me unless I was comfortable waiting another year.
Right away Cam’s style jumped out at me. He runs with a power and smoothness similar to a slightly smaller Le’Veon. Akers’ impressive play against two top run defenses in the playoffs combined with significant draft capital tells me that LA will commit to him if he continues to work hard. Aside from Akers himself, the allure of a feature back on McVay’s offense with Stafford under center, a top-three run-blocking line, and a top defense is just too much to not gamble on. I’ve made terrible calls before, but fortune favors the bold and I really think this was the right move.

I think you could have done much better than Akers at RB. Even in a 10 team I gotta believe a generational talent at QB is worth more than what I feel is a 10-15 range RB. But if you got your guy and your happy with it that's all that matters.

That's how I see it as well. Godwin should be in the mid to early 1st range. Jimmy a late 1st, early 2nd.

This is kind of why I hate the idea of SF- it leads to perfectly reasonable trades given QB values where you end up giving (what I'd consider) the vastly superior talent/player to get a player that has enhanced value simply because of their position. It's also what I'm careful about in trading for a RB in a 2 RB league, or one with heavy values on WRs.

You have a fair point, but I'd rather have the Sanders side. Sure there's a QB and some nice pieces coming back but it feels like an overpay
