I don't see a problem with keeping him if it costs you nothing, because we all have a favorite pet projects that never produce. I would not expect anyone to offer anything of value to trade for him.

What WR are you targeting in the 3rd that you like more than Mecole? Or maybe you just don't believe in Mecole at all lol that seems more likely

Would rather have Hardman than a 3rd, just for the simple fact that he would have increased opportunity in an offense with Patrick Mahomes at QB and won't see tough defensive coverage.

You never really know. Injuries could happen and Hardman might take on a bigger role.

Yeah I'm not buying that Hardman would be WR16 in this draft. That's pretty funny

Pretty sure we draft a WR in rounds 2-4

The Super Bowl changed a lot IMO as far as the outlook of our offense and the fact that there's no one consistent after Kelce/Hill

That said I do think Watkins walks

I don't think 4 Kelces and Hills would've saved the Chiefs offense in that game. I would think the smart move is OL, but it wouldn't surprise me if they took a WR in round 3 or later. Even then, is that WR more valuable than Hardman? I don't think so, at least not right away

JK but for real

Pringle is probably a decent buy low too. If Hardman is worth a 3rd and WR16 among rookies... What's Pringle? A 6th and WR37?

Hardman's value should increase quite a bit if Watkins is let go. He is a 3rd year breakout candidate which is why I drafted him in a league a few years back.

He has plenty of upside. Not giving up on him just yet.

Yeah tackle is a tier 1 need (along with EDGE), center a top end of tier 2 (along with LB and WR) and guard a bottom end of tier 2 (with CB) that could vault to low tier 1 if Duvernay Tardif doesn't return

Like you said I don't see a WR in the first--second is possible but it's unlikely IMO

That said I've seen enough of Hardman to say that the right WR in the 3rd (maybe 4th if someone falls but that's murkier) is someone I might consider over him immediately--especially if they trade up for him or something

He just doesn't have the route tree and takes way too many plays "off" (just lazily going through the motions)

A very useful player but overrated in the national media as some kind of Tyreek lite when he is not. I bet he gets overpaid somewhere else when his rookie deal expires

It feels like the Chiefs have pretty much decided that Watkins won't be back, because they don't want to pay him much. I don't blame them, as he hasn't really produced as hoped. He's also missed several games (yet again) and doesn't seem like a reliable WR the team can count on. Breakout games here and there, sure. But any sort of consistency from the guy? No.

If Watkins is back, it will be on a very team-friendly deal. I expect some team will be willing to give him more than KC is willing to pony up, and Hardman will have an opportunity along with whomever else they bring in to compete for additional snaps.

I have a share of Watkins and am not sure what I'll do with him. Doubt I'll be able to get much for him (similar to Hardman at this point in time). But I don't want to just cut him either. Anyone who gets meaningful snaps in that offense is attractive to some dynasty owner out there.

Even if it is only for a 3rd-rounder.

I could see Watkins helping a team like the Bears, Jets, or Pats.

Watkins is plenty talented, his problem is he seems to be made of glass.

Tough call rostering him

His problem runs much deeper than that. His mind is more fragile than his bones.
