Mike Evans v James Robinson

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mike Evans v James Robinson

Postby gaz29 » Tue Feb 23, 2021 5:00 am

Hi

I am in the midst of a rebuild and have the above offer on the table. The league contains a devy element

My other notable RBs are CEH, Jacobs and Swift.
My other notable WRs are Beasley, Diontae Johnson, Shenault, Chase and Bateman

Start 2 RBs and 2 WRs and 2 Flex

Would you make this trade??

I still can't buy in to Robinson holding his current value for long, but I've been wrong about him so far. If you're a believer and hes the new Chris Carson, then yes I would take the deal in a rebuild.

Fair value, both are worth mid to late 1st. Do you need RB or WR more?

Also, if I'm not competing I'd be selling both.

Evans >= Robinson in a vacuum but if in need of an RB it's not the worst trade ever.

DEF - Bills, Vikings.

Rookie Picks: 1.02, 2.02, 3.02, 4.02 and 5.02.

TEAM 2
Dynasty PPR - SuperFlex and TE Prem. (16 teams)

QB - Prescott, Pickett, Ridder, Mariota, Mullins, Willis.

I'm not dealing Evans straight up for a guy like Robinson right now. If we get through the draft and free agency and Robinson still projects to be the starter then I'll reevaluate, but there's too many unknowns in Jacksonville right now for me to part with someone as safe as Evans.

Good rule of thumb to never deal for RBs pre draft.

I'd lean toward Evans. I'm not sold on Robinson sustaining his 2020 role in an Urban Meyer offense though.

Definately on the Evans side. In all his years as a head coach Urban has never had a RB in Robinson's mold. It probably won't be this year, but Jax is going to draft a shiny new toy at RB.
I am just a guy sharing some thoughts

I would hold Evans. Fair or not, there is still some doubt with Robinson until post NFL draft and free agency.
