He has to stay healthy, but Wentz style is perfect for his game. I expect him to be targeted heavilyCameron Giles wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 9:18 am
Parris Campbell is also a solid buy low, though he'll have to stay healthy.

OR.. he tracking like Vince Younggogobradyarm wrote: ↑Thu Feb 18, 2021 8:24 pm I fully expect Wentz to flirt with QB1 numbers in 2021. A high upside QB2 at worst. A bounce back season, and he probably sneaks into the top 12 dynasty QB again.
Wonder how many thought Vince Young would bounce back.... He couldn't really deal with the pressure of the NFL.
At least Wentz is going to a place he has a shot of getting fixed.

Re: Wentz?
Fwiw, I never thought too much of Vince, but thought Leinart would be a stud. Crazy they both just flopped. Reggie was good but didn't really live up to #2 overall status. I remember the Texans were criticized heavily for the Mario Williams pick but it seemed to be the right one years later
Re: Wentz?
Both were easy fades if you watched a lot of football back then. All Leinart had were stats (mediocre arm strength, immobile, suspect ball location) and Vince had very weird throwing mechanics + and wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed. I also thought Reggie Bush was incredibly overrated as a RB because he couldnt run inside tackle. I did kind of like Big Mike Williams thoughJigga94 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:59 pmFwiw, I never thought too much of Vince, but thought Leinart would be a stud. Crazy they both just flopped. I would have never believed you if you told me after that game that both Vince and Leinart would bust in the NFL

Re: Wentz?
It was a bit surprising. I think Vince actually won ROY. He really struggled mentally from year two on. He was a god in college but never learned how to handle criticism. He grew up as the end all be all player. My concern with Wentz is he seems similar in that he doesn't handle difficult situations well. Wentz is a better QB overall but he lost that team in a big way much like Young of yesteryear.
Time will tell but making it in the NFL goes way beyond talent alone. I wouldn't be gambling too much on Wentz in fantasy personally but I was never a great fan of his reads or release as a QB.

Re: Carson Wentz Thread: Reborn in Indy?
Carson is looking good this year. No training camp, a couple of nagging injuries to deal with. He's become almost a game manager, dare I say? He takes his shots, and has extended plays, and made some really nice ones out of nothing, but he's not playing "hero ball" all the time.
He's also not turning the ball over. 1 INT through 6 games, and only 1 fumble (which was lost), but it was a Center exchange issue, so not really his fault, per se.
9 TD's to 1 INT, and really looking to gain comfort in this offense. Will he ever be an MVP caliber QB again? Probably not, but he's not "finished", and he looks to be regaining his form. Let's just hope he can stay healthy.

Now 11 TDs to 1 INT. He & Winston are nice 2nd QBs to have in leagues with high INT penalties like -4. In Scott Fish Bowl 11 scoring (you get penalized for missed completions so Zach Wilson has -2 points total on the season in that scoring format) Wentz is QB14 and Winston QB19 atm. High TD good efficiency QBs are king.

I like that scoring. More reflective of actual NFL value.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 6:12 pm Now 11 TDs to 1 INT. He & Winston are nice 2nd QBs to have in leagues with high INT penalties like -4. Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Re: Carson Wentz Thread: Reborn in Indy?
Last year he would have been QB9 but this year he is mid QB2 range because he has a 7-5 TD/INT ratio atm. However he has not had a negative point outcome or below 9.44 points in a game yet so basically a safe floor option.Pullo Vision wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 6:39 pmFreak's brain just exploded.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 26, 2021 6:12 pm Now 11 TDs to 1 INT.
