Hubbard sub 4.4? I dunno that I see that.KingsKing wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 1:19 pm4.7 would be a disaster, I don't think he is a burner by any means but I also don't think he is 4.7 slow. I'm looking forward to seeing how fast some of these guys are . I think Hubbard will run in the 4.3's , Etienne 4.4, Williams 4.5,Harris high 4.5 or low 4.6. Gainwell and Carter are the 2 guys im most curious about because they lack size of prototype workhorse rb's .OhCruelestRanter wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 1:09 pmFor what it’s worth I meant over 4.6- that was a typo.KingsKing wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 12:36 pm
It's not a death sentence especially at his size. Lateral movement, agility, vision, contact balance are all more important than straight line speed for a rb and Harris has all those in spades. CEH,James Robinson,Lev Bell,Ingram,Blount,Foster all ran 4.6 or higher and Gore, Shaun Alexander and Jamal Lewis all ran 4.59 at the combine.
I think a RB refusing to run a 40 is like a QB not wanting to throw , it was tank his draft stock worse than running a 4.6 . I don't think any NFL teams are expecting him to run super fast.
Maybe that’s the case that skipping would drop him farther, but some of the guys you mentioned (Robinson, Foster, Blount) went undrafted.
Maybe if he’s consistently running 4.60-4.62 it’s no big deal and he should just run. If he’s closer to 4.7 than to 4.6 I still say he should probably skip.
Since we are talking about guys that shouldn’t run, I don’t think ettienne helps himself unless he can have a very low, or sub 4.4.
Guys like Williams, Harris, Carter, need to try to get close to 4.5 flat
