This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Draft Pick Creativity

Postby robinoso » Mon Jan 18, 2021 5:46 pm

Hey all, 25 man rosters with 3 taxi (there now not showing K/D). As of now I’ve shed some fat to acquire picks knowing I’d have to cut or hopefully trade/package to decrease players or move up in draft to account for it.

Am I off base for sending or trying my 3 2nds for 5-7 pick? I don’t like knowing most of what I draft won’t make it on my team. I can cut a couple taxi, but I feel like I’m in somewhat good shape on cuts overall.

Happy to hear thoughts or packages you may see. If not, cheers...I know it is early

I doubt you can jump in to the mid 1st for three 2nds, but my league could be much different. I think the 1.09 or the 1.10 is more obtainable, but you know your league best and may be worth throwing out there. Do the mid 1st teams have the roster space for all the picks?

I think they have more to cut or could cut. Many aging players

It's worth a shot to throw it out there if you can get it done with all the factors.

Can you trade for future picks? Might be worth offering the 3 seconds for 1.08/1.09 and a future 2nd. If you don't want a upgrade at QB2 you probably need to get to at least 8.

I think that even bundling 2.03/2.06/2.09 would only get you to a late 1st this year in most cases. I would start lower and work up, maybe 2.03/2.09 for a late 1st, then move to 2.03/2.06, and only to giving all 3 as a last resort.

If you can move 2.03 and 2.09 for like 1.09 and then jump 1.09 and 2.06 for 1.06 would be your only real chance.

This is what I have working now, almost exactly. I know things can change but Smith or Chase will fall to 1.05.

I have a lot of WR, some could be casualties to forget about during off-season. People aren’t really high on Lockett or Deebo. I think I can use one of them along the way, but I’d get almost zero value I think.
