Wow I'm surprised there's this much thought being into this... Wait... No I'm not

He's a top RB no matter what way you slice it lol

Feels like each time an RB breaks out in his rookie year, he typically regresses hard in his second year (for different reasons)

Gurley:
Y1: 229/1106/10
Y2: 278/885/6

Fournette:
Y1: 268/1040/9
Y2: 133/439/5

Barkley:
Y1: 261/1307/11
Y2: 178/722/4

Elliott:
Y1: 322/1631/15
Y2: 242/983/7

Hunt:
Y1: 272/1327/8
Y2: 181/824/7

I could keep going (Doug Martin, Jeremy Hill, Sony Michel, etc.)

Long-term, I think Barkley will be fine. If you can buy low, I think it's more than worth it.

Barkley also had a high ankle sprain and came back too soon.

He’s a lot like Barry Sanders, his value in both real and fantasy football is his big play game breaking ability. CMC is the only RB I would trade Barkley for and that is because CMC has a more complete game.

exactly. The writing has been on the wall ever since he was talked about as possibly returning, like the week after getting inured. I never expected him to return to peak form this season.

The only RB this numbers exercise doesn’t have an affect on is Sony Michel. Lol.
Do you really want a Sony Michel? Trust me, you don’t. It’s painful.

Putting out feelers and the cost to acquire Barkley in some of my leagues has lowered somewhat

Also I think my thread had merit to sit alone and not be lumped into the Barkley value check thread.

The entire point of my thread was that my early season prognostication was that there would be a buy low period potentially this year.

Has already scored 28 points for me in my Finals matchup.

Back to peak, league-destroying form.

Barkley May have had a roller coaster of a season but he came in clutch in the playoffs when it counted, 30pts W15 44pts W16 in PPR. He and CMC quite literally carried me to a championship by scoring about half my points in the semis and finals.

If I had CMC, which I don't, I'd be trying to get Barkley plus in the off season, hoping guys would bite. He's the most talented back in the league, hands down, when healthy. Jones looks like he will be a solid NFL QB. Arrow pointing up for that offense.

Definitely going to see how this goes at some point. I know the Barkley owner loves him though

Ahem...

Saquon is officially a buy low.

Maybe took a little longer than I predicted earlier in the thread but here we are..

Bought for 2 late 1sts and James Robinson around week 5 or 6. Thought it was a great price then. A little less confident now, but I'm still not sold on Jrob long term

Moved Robert Woods and James Robinson at our trade deadline for Barkley. Gives me CMC, Barkley, Elliott, Chubb, Hunt and Mixon at RB start 1-4 RB.

The trade itself turned out ridiculously good for you. In my leagues, Barkley was generally unavailable, especially where I had him, lol.
