Gibson / claypool

Postby Meretc01 » Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:28 pm

Team underneath... rebuild and have young talent everywhere.. another team with a lack at RB position offered hinted claypool for Gibson.. curious what everyone’s thoughts are with my team.. I asked before if I should keep my team in tact..

With your team as it is, I would hold Gibson and just draft BPA with your 3 1sts (if I’m reading that right in your sig). Moving Gibson here could put you in a spot to have to reach for an RB to fill the void.

I like both players but I'll take Gibson for positional scarcity. Gibson looked like they were counting on him for 15 carries and 4 targets per game. He showed really well in the passing game because he is really a WR.

Gibson for me. You will add talent with your picks also, hold the valuable RB.

Gibson, easy. He has the potential to be the RB in Washington for a few years.

Claypool looks very good, but Pittsburgh is known for having a good WR for a year or two and either releasing/trading him, or moving a new younger WR ahead of him on the depth chart. Unless we project Claypool to be a Hines Ward or AB, I wouldn't feel comfortable trading a top-10 RB for him. If Claypool isn't All-NFL talent, the Steelers won't hesitate to replace him instead of pay him.
