3) Smith - Dolphins

7) Chase - Lions
8) Pitts - Panthers
15) Fields - Pats
16) Etienne - Cards
17) Waddle - Raiders
18) Bateman - Dolphins

20) Elijah Moore - Bears
21) Mac Jones - Colts
25) Olave - Jets
28) Harris - Pitt
31) Marshall Jr - Packers
Devonta Smith going 3rd overall would be....something. Would easily be the highest drafted WR in quite some time.

But if this draft played out like this, then it would be hard not to get excited.

7 first round WRs.
5 first round QBs
2 1st round RBs
1 1st round TE

It probably won't and as others have pointed out...the Dolphins using two firsts on WRs doesn't seem logical, but overall this draft looks like a decent carryover from 2020 with more good WRs and a few RBs to round it out.

Have to wonder at this rate if there's a chance that Devonta Smith is the 1.01.

I would be absolutely shocked if there are 15 1st round skill players in this draft. I think mock hype has begun.

It does seem like 3 QB are locks with 2 more in the 1st being probable.

I'm not sure there's any lock for RB going 1st round especially after they fell last year

7 WR seems high but I'm guessing there's 3 or 4 locks as is.

Pitts is a lock. Not sure if there's any other TE that could crack the 1st.

Overall it will be a solid draft outside of the RB. SF picks definitely get a boost this year

If Smith goes before Chase in the NFL draft, will he pass Chase in rookie drafts as well?

Doubtful for me unless Chase really falls for an unforeseen issue.

Recency bias favors Smith

Right now they are really close as prospects imo.

Smith has proven to be really good for 2 seasons, very good route running.

It will be interesting to see where both land in nfl

I would favour chase over Smith anyday.

When it comes down to drsfting WR early, i like them in the Chase frame and not the smaller frame as Smith has.

To many Tavon Austin for every Hill.

I’m probably not going to own much Smith because I generally don’t take senior WRs in the first round of rookie drafts. It would be awesome if he could push Chase/Waddle/Moore down to me.

I also like chase over smith, but smith really isn't remotely comparable to Tavon Austin or Tyreek Hill.

Moore is the Wr that will likely be compared to those 2 guys this draft process.

Why did Smith go back to school? Does anybody know if there was an extenuating circumstance? He lead Bama in receiving yardage last year, I assume he got back feedback about his draft slot.

I never heard. My guess is he bet on himself. Probably was told he would be a 2nd rounder due to the deep class and overshadowed by Jeudy at least. Even though Smith out -produced him. This is just a guess and it looks like it worked out.

At this point, I'd be happy with either Chase or Smith.
