Justin Jefferson #1 Dynasty WR?
Re: Justin Jefferson #1 Dynasty WR?
Dalton essentially had a bad 2019. His 16 game pace in 2018 was 3732/31/16. Yeah, not as good as Cousins but not by a huge margin, and those are above average NFL starter numbers. He had a couple injuries but he's still only 33. He's better than multiple starting QBs.

Name the teams Dalton would start for in 2021. The answer is ZERO. He is a backup.
I am glad he is on the Cowboys but let's get serious, we have had 2 full seasons since the 2018 campaign.
He is not remotely close to Cousins these days. His ball velocity is poor, he holds the ball way too long, he doesn't throw people open. I don't hate Dalton, I use to watch him live at high school games but it is laughable to compare this season from Dalton to Cousins who was top shelf in most measurable stats.

Dalton is significantly better than Lock and am confident Dalton would win in a head-to-head QB competition. That’s one off the top of my headIce wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 11:39 amName the teams Dalton would start for in 2021. The answer is ZERO. He is a backup.

Re: Justin Jefferson #1 Dynasty WR?
I touched on this earlier but I have major concerns. I have for years upgraded players in a Kubiak offense. His one cut and go running game is awesome and his WR schemes are just shy of brilliant IMO.
They could promote from within and keep the offense intact but losing Kubiak's mind will hurt some. The second concern is they are really porous in both lines and have a terrible cap problem. Not sure how they solve these issues so too soon to panic but I wouldn't be shocked to see multiple player movement which could include Thielen or other attractive pieces if they go into a soft rebuild.
This team needs tons of defensive help. They simply are not competitive with that defense.
One of the more interesting things to watch this off season IMO.

Re: Justin Jefferson #1 Dynasty WR?
Denver for sure. Pretty decent chance he'd start in Washington or Jacksonville. Plus given that starters were benched at some point this season in Philly and Chicago I could see it for either of those teams as well as the Giants. I also think Dalton is a better QB than Cam at this point but not sure the Pats would actually start Dalton over Cam. Bridgewater isn't very good either but same thing in Carolina.

No way Elway would bring in a Dalton. He may go after a Darnold type but he won't go old again unless it's a Brady type with skins on the wall.
The Cowboys got Dalton cheap; A 1 year 5 million dollar deal which puts in perspective his value. Elway or any team that wants him will get a chance but based on last year, no team views him as a starter or will pay starter money to get him.
As much as some of you want to believe, Dalton simply isn't a starter anymore. He is a pretty good back up but that's it. I can't imagine any fan base lighting up twitter in a positive way thinking " We just signed Dalton..... CHAMPIONSHIP"

Not concerned with JJ going forward. A new offense would likely result in a regression statistically but he’s proven to be a WR1.

Okay,
Ask Elway when you see him and get back to me with his actual answer!

No on Eagles. Reagor was a head scratch for me and still is. He does flash a little though. Jefferson was an easy choice over Reagor IMO.
Too soon on the Raiders IMO. Ruggs has tons of talent to be developed. He did catch 16 of his final 22 targets. It wouldn't surprise me if he makes the biggest jump next year. He really needs an off season.
These two were not as pro ready as Lamb or Jefferson. Most knew that I think.
Jefferson was 1 of 3 rookies to make the pro bowl. Young and CEH were the other 2.
Ruggs is a sell if you can get anything decent.
Maybe with an offseason he can really fine tune his apparent “nuanced” route running lol.
As for the thread I would still take Tyreek over JJ, 2 top 3 seasons in 2 years and still only 26 however JJ would fall in the next tier with Metcalf most likely.

The Raiders just don't learn lessons though so it'll happen again next time they look for a WR
Re: Justin Jefferson #1 Dynasty WR?
I remember during the draft a raiders fan telling me he preferred Ruggs over all the other WRs in the draft lol. I know there is a heated Lamb vs. JJ debate here but we can all agree that both (and Jeudy) were better than Ruggs going into the draft process.StripesOfKC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 3:31 pmFTFYcantguardjake wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 2:57 pmNot all of us had him WR #1 like you. What is a bit ironic about your comment though is Tyreek was nothing special as rookie amassing 593 yards in 15 games. A. Brown only managed 167 yards as a rookie. Ruggs obviously struggled with 492 yards in 13 games.
Ruggs may never be great but it is the fool who thinks a player is nothing and will never improve especially the ones with gifts only a handful of players have at the highest level in sports have.
Maybe you're the genius or maybe the fool.
We all miss on players and some of us understand it takes time to develop. It is way too soon to label any of the top picks in this class a bust given it was one of the best classes of WR's in years.
BTW, It is rare for any rookie WR to put up great numbers. Jefferson to his credit just broke the All TIME record yet finished 8th in PPr leagues 2 spots behind 2nd year Metcalf in fantasy.
