Rank the 3 2019 RBs

Postby Razzy22 » Sun Jan 03, 2021 9:33 pm

0.5 PPR

Where are we ranking the RB class from 2019? The top guys I can see from the class are:

Josh Jacobs
Miles Sanders
David Montgomery

Have opinions changed from last year to this year? Are other RBs to be included that you rank higher?

Jacobs
Montgomery
Sanders

I'm not sold on Sanders as a work horse and Montgomery is really coming on. Those two are a bit interchangeable though. Sanders has more value based on name alone though.

This, except I think Monty benefitted from 2 things: 1) Not having Cohen there, and 2) having a relatively easy (RB) schedule to end the season.

I have Monty in one league and I'm going to be looking to shop him this off season, especially if he continues to put up numbers in the post season.

My biggest issue with Sanders is the Eagles. Their QB situation and O-line looks bad to iffy right now.

1a) Sanders
1b) Jacobs
3) Monty

I think Sanders has the most risk this offseason, but I also think he has the highest upside. I think all three of them are below my top 4 from 2020 (Swift, JT, Dobbins, and Akers).

Jacobs is the #1 and Monty and Sanders are pretty close. I'd give Sanders the edge slightly.
Team 1: 12 team, PPR
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Mahomes, Lawrence
Najee, Swift, Javonte, Jamaal W, Murray
DK, DJM, Juju, Jameson, Gallup, Van
Pitts, Friermuth
1.01, 1.04, 1.11, 1.12, 3.10, 2 firsts next year

Team 2: 12 Team, SF TEP (1.5 PPR)
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 2Flex, 1 SF

Mahomes, Burrow, Cousins, Rudolph
CEH, Swift, Gibson, Jacobs, Mattison, Scott, McFarland
DK, AJB, Ridley, McLaurin, Kupp, Landry, Mims, Hamler, Miller, Johnson, Robinson
Andrews, H. Henry, Sternberger, Alie-Cox, Herndon

Same as Team 2
Watson, Burrow, Lance, Z. Wilson
Pollard, Mattison
Chase, D. Smith, Boyd, Hardman, E. Moore, Cephus, A. Rodgers, Harry, Boykin, A. Tate, Miller
Hockenson, Thomas, Albert O, Njoku
3 additional firsts

Same as Team 2
TLaw, Burrow, Watson, Darnold
CEH, Gus, Cohen
Juju, Chark, Shenault, Boyd, Landry, Renfrow, Robinson,
Engram, Kmet, Firkser, Schultz, Arnold, Herndon

I have these guys all pretty close, each with their own question marks.

Montgomery - Were his late-season performances a sign of things to come, or strictly due to a favorable schedule?
Sanders - Can he stay healthy? Will PHI get their bleep together as a team?
Jacobs - Exciting ceiling, bottom-dwelling floor. Weekly output varies too much. Feels like a poor-man's Mixon.

Listed in order of my rankings, but the margins are small.
10-team Superflex, 0.5 PPR, 15-man rosters, pseudo-dynasty
Keep any number of players (0-15), lose same number of draft picks
2010, 2015, 2020 - πŸ†, 2013 - πŸ₯ˆ

QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, SF, FLEX, D/ST

QB: Dak, Watson
RB: Swift, Robinson Jr, Singletary, Brown, Hubbard, Zeus, Herbert
WR: Wilson, Olave, Pickens, Aiyuk
TE: Pitts, LaPorta

This for me!
Team 1:
10 team SF, .5 ppr
1-QB 1-SF 3-WR 2-RB 1-TE 1-Flex
QB: Allen, Burrow, Goff, Aidan OConnel
RB: ETN, K Walker, Swift, D Pierce, Monty, Herbert, McLaughlin
WR: Deebo, AJB, Lamb, DJM, Dell, Higgins, Jeudy, E Moore, Michael Wilson, Tutu
TE: Kinkaid, Schultz, Njoku

They are all very close for me.

Our draft they went
Jacobs
Monty(me)
Sanders

Today i would probably have it the same and could be swayed any direction depending on what happens this off season. Jacob's has the most stable situation. Monty will likely see a new coaching staff, qb, and the return of cohen. Sanders is stuck on a team in serious cap hell.

Same as I’ve had it since at least March of 2019:

Sanders
Jacobs
Montgomery

Sanders is the only one who has true elite upside, IMO. I see Jacobs and Monty capped as back-end RB1s.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5

You mean going forward right? Cause Monty just finished as RB4 in PPR and I consider that mid to top end RB1...but I tend to agree his upside isn't quite as high as what sanders could be.

I really like Monty, I was in on him as a rookie and got him anywhere I could...that said, I have never seen an easier schedule for an RB the last 6 weeks of the season. Believe me, I loved it and rode the wave but I don't think either of the other two RBs woulda done worse in those matchups.

TouchΓ©. I’ll own that one. I hadn’t checked the top performers in a bit. I knew Monty had been killing it down the stretch, but didn’t realize it was enough to vault him into the top 5. Still, he strikes me as an average back who fell into a perfect situation this season. I’d be trying my damnedest to sell high if I owned him anywhere. (I don’t, obviously. Haha.)
