Trade: Miles Sanders and AJ Brown

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Which side would you take?

Trade: Miles Sanders and AJ Brown

Postby ParLawGod » Wed Dec 30, 2020 11:21 pm

(Rebuilding team)

I own the first two picks in the upcoming draft, and plan to snag two RB's. My WR corps is a little spotty, and I have a chance to acquire AJ Brown. Would you pull the trigger on this trade?

Receive: AJ Brown, 2.12
Give: Miles Sanders, 1.12

1QB league, 12-team
Picks: 2021 1.01, 1.02, 1.09, 1.12, 2.02, 2.09
Start: 1QB, 1RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1Flex

Key pieces:
QB: Jones/Garoppolo/Love
RB: Sanders/Hunt/Edmonds/Singletary
WR: Sutton/Moore/Watkins/MVS
TE: Goedert/Gesicki

Thanks for any advice!

I easily take brown and the first. I’d take brown over sanders even up.

Thanks for the responses! I edited my post for clarity (the combo is Brown/2.12 and Sanders/1.12). I wrote it correctly in one spot, but not the other...late night :) Does that change anything for you guys?

I'd do it but I'd also take Chase with one of your first two picks. Part of it is I'm not in love with either RB and Chase is a monster, but also your lineup settings are similar to mine (1 RB, max 2). You can start four WR if needed - having AJB, DJM, and Chase sets you up nicely for a loooong time.

Even with sanders missing more games than brown (3 to 2) and the Eagles being the worst offense we’ve seen this season since the 07 lions as far as turnovers and lack of consistency, sanders only has 30 less fantasy points than brown in my league on the season. I think that is a positive testament of sanders if anything. He’s made big plays and still be effective when given the opportunity. No reason to believe his production doesn’t shoot up if the o line and QB play is even just mediocre next year. Not saying it’s a must to pick sanders here but in some situations I believe he and the 1.12 could be the correct choice. Need a RB to emerge and fill a starter spot next year? I’d take that swing.
10 team league....16 offensive keepers selected by April first. 28 man rosters during the season. 1 keeper defense and 1 keeper kicker.

.5 ppr, TE premium +.5, .2 return yards, big play bonuses, 4 team playoffs and 2 week super bowl (wk 15,16).
Start 1 QB 6 pt passing TD, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 flex, 1 TE.

QBs- Dak P
RBs- miles sanders, CEH, Najee Harris, Antonio gibson, James robinson, Boston Scott, qadree ollison, eno Benjamin, Sony michel, kerryon Johnson, gerrid Doaks, Larry rountree,
WRs- Brandon aiyuk, shenault, Adam thielen, Antonio brown, kadarius Toney, Jacobi Meyers, Dwayne eskridge, jalen Darden.

TEs- Goedert, fant, Hayden hurst, Dan Arnold, Donald parham

To be clear, I was wanting to just defend sanders a little bit here. Feel he is getting slammed and questioned too heavily this year. Brown is an elite long term asset without a doubt. I’d have no problem with someone wanting brown in this deal. Just think sanders value is less than it could/should be.

Do it! I would not hesitate to put my 1.02 instead of 1.12 in that package.
