Golladay vs Shenault

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Golladay vs Shenault

Postby Jazepp » Tue Dec 29, 2020 3:04 pm

expanding our dyno league .. can protect either Golladay at $146 signed for 2 more years or Shenault at $15 signed for 3 more years ... we're going to 14 teams .. $1000 cap ( my cap situation is pretty good ) . Till now I thought Golladay would be the easy pick but Shenault is cheaper , signed for an extra year and will have Trevor Lawrence throwing the ball to him too which makes this decision a little tougher .. any thoughts ?

Interesting choice. What's your squad look like? Are you a strong competitor?

first league draft was last year .. I went mostly young players with upside .. Watson / Herbert / Dobbins / Taylor / Higgins are my must protects .. I didn't compete this year but I think I'll be in the mix for next year ( it's superflex btw ) 14% sounds like a lot but I have enough cap space to keep Kenny with no problem , another thing is we dont know where he'll be playing for next year

I think I'll be competing next year ... superflex 14 team : Watson $113, Herbert $5 , Dobbins $141 , $121 Taylor , $2 Tee Higgins are must protect imo , need to pick 2 out of Golladay $146, Gaskin $25, Shenault $15, M. Andrews $45 keep in mind there is no TE only spot .. TE only start in flex spots and there are 3 of them so I think Andrew's value drops

How long do you have to decide? I’d probably keep both of them. As you point out, Andrews loses a ton of value in a 0TE league and Gaskin could very easily be replaced by a high-pedigree rookie. Best case, he’s probably in a timeshare with Ahmed.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

Shenault for me, that Golladay price is way too high for a 14 team SF. He’s more expensive than Watson which is crazy.

Almost definitely shenault but you need to calculate likely acquisition cost in draft to get a true answer. You can find the formulas online, essentially Break it down by adding the costs of all the keepers and money left to calculate inflation rate, if there’s too much inflation Golladay could be a $200+ player and he’s the pick, but like I said it’s likely shenault of the 2.

Responded before seeing this. Andrews is an easy Todd if there’s no TE premium and no TE spots.
